Suburbia Board Game $43.99 + $10 Delivery @ Board Geeks

110

Board Geeks selling a classic for an extremely low price.

Great eurogame, with description from BoardGameGeek:

"Suburbia is a tile-laying game in which each player tries to build up an economic engine and infrastructure that will be initially self-sufficient, and eventually become both profitable and encourage population growth. As your town grows, you'll modify both your income and your reputation. As your income increases, you'll have more cash on hand to purchase better and more valuable buildings, such as an international airport or a high rise office building. As your reputation increases, you'll gain more and more population (and the winner at the end of the game is the player with the largest population).

During each game, players compete for several unique goals that offer an additional population boost – and the buildings available in each game vary, so you'll never play the same game twice!"

Edit: definitely worth browsing if you're into boardgames, some decent prices

    • boardgamesearch.com.au isn't bad, but I like ozgamefinder.com - much larger number of places on it.

      • Thanks! I didn't know that site. I'll check it out

  • What's the normal price?

  • Normal price is about over $70!

how smart do you have to be to play this?

    • It has under 3/5 complexity on BGG. So…moderate?

    • not very, its one of those games that's fairly easy to grasp at a higher level while also providing quite a lot of strategic depth if you care to dig a little deeper. So easy to play, but difficult to master.

there is a fair amount of housekeeping though which makes it a little heavier than your average gateway game.

both co-ops coincidentally, Hanabi is a must-own IMO.

    • Hanabi is especially a must-own if you want a divorce. :)

  • Sold out? Can’t add to cart.

    Hi All,

We have just run out of immediate stock, with more coming in. As a result, there has been a minor price bump to match demand.

    Price is still strongly competitive!

    • When the deal is expired, please click the "Expire" button, & don't change the pricing in the title.

      • Right, sorry

also poor sportsmanship to raise prices just because people actually want to buy your product at the lower price you set. Supply and demand isnt really a valid arguement here

I came here for a bargain but left here with a Kickstarter pledge instead. That escalated quickly…

Ted's business model seems to be copying other games so bugger giving him any of my money.

    • Hmmm… That's disappointing.

OP. Price change feels a bit bait-and-switch like, but it's still a good price. Why not update price in deal title and clear expired tag?
