List of TRS-Able eBay Mobile Phone Sellers

Hi All,

I couldn't find a list of ebay sellers which I am confident to get invoice for TRS. I figure we should have such a list. Hoping this will save time for those ppl that will be travelling.

Here are a few sellers I have heard of, but need your help for those that can confirm. I will update list and hope this becomes a long-lived post.

Please advise and I will update here…

1.Name of ebay seller exactly as u see it
2. Yes / No for having bought an item and can confirm having claimed TRS successfully.

Why not ask the eBay sellers you’re interested in buying from, if they can supply a tax invoice?

Yeah I don't see the point of having a list. The most important things when buying a phone is that it's from a reputable seller and a good price. TRS refund can help with price but I see it as a bonus.

If I see a phone I'm interested in I will ask the seller about a GST invoice and go from there, rather than the other way around of starting with a list.

I thought having a list would save everyone time, one doesn't have to ask, and wait for seller to respond.

        • Having a list on this site effectively makes this site and/or those who maintain that list responsible for the actions of those sellers appearing on that list. Should a transaction not be supplied with documents compliant with TRS requirements all hell would break loose.

@[Deactivated]: Just asking people to share with other users if they were able to claim TRS, how is that having to do with actually being responsible? Like every other deal posted here, if you aren't able to get the deal, it's tough luck. Sharing the info so those that want/need to give it a go IS what this site is about.

Have you not come across seller that then gives you a tax invoice which then TRS doesn't accept?

      • Before the transaction, clearly advise the seller that you would like a tax invoice listing a, b, c, d and e, where these items are needed for your TRS claim. Don't tell the seeker why you need these on the invoice, just advise them you want this invoice upon purchase. If after the transaction you don't receive such an invoice, then I would raise a PayPal/eBay dispute.

Alternatively, save yourself the invoice headaches and any potential warranty issues - buy from a physical store instead.

wow, what a load of work. I dont want to dispute my purchase I just want a TRS-able purchase.

Wouldn't it be great to know which seller does this by default as a matter of their process?

And this is not about warranty.

            @hippo2s:

wow, what a load of work.

So you expect other users to make a list of your choosing, make this available to you and keep it updated for you free of charge, and this mammoth task isn’t “a load of work”?

            You have two choices:

            1. Make this list yourself
            2. Consider yourself an entitled piece of work for expecting us to provide this service to you.

@[Deactivated]: Since when am I asking others to keep it updated? i created the thread, I will maintain it, I made that clear.

This info can benefit others, not just me, why are you painting this is some greedy thing I am asking for?

Option 3. Sounds like you actually have nothing to contribute, so I will hope to hear from others that is willing to share their experience.

If no one does then yeah, waste of MY time but atleast I tried.

Just a waste of time, lol

Yes, a waste of time if you don't have any else to say but to say what you have said. I agree very wasteful indeed.
