    0.333 of a customer?

10% off already discounted RRP is a + for me!

    • 0.333 of a sale, that'd be an OzBargainer…sure as sh1t! ;)

  • I didn't understand what you mean.

    • just about the 1/3 of a customer ;)

    • 333.333 implies you've only had 333 visitors, and somehow one-third of another. I presume you've had significantly more than that, so if I'm guessing correctly you've had 333,333 or 333 thousand, 333 visitors…it's the comma that makes all the difference! ;)

      • +1

You'r right but every country uses different characters, btw i changed to "," ;)

      • it's the comma that makes all the difference! ;)

It does to you in Australia however in Europe and other countries what we call 333 333.00 or 333,333.00

Could be 333.333,00 or 333˙333,00 or even 333'333.00

        • So you're not in Australia? Wow, I'd always assumed you were here too!

Yes, I'm fully aware of the lack of international uniform numeracy notations! ;)

Now, in my defence we have two points:

          1. I was being informative & light-hearted, that was never meant to be rude or disrespectful, nor do I think it came across as such; we both know full well I'm capable of being explicit in that regard if I so choose! :p

          2. The post is made to OzBargain, not EuroBargain or OtherCountryBargain. As such, Aussie readers would not be unreasonable to expect the number format be of the standard used in this English speaking country.

As stated, this was never a slur against Naz_eg; it was merely to clarify what was obvious confusion around issh's gag about the 1/3 of a person!

Not everyone knows there are different "standards" for numbering which is why i made the comment (I was not sure if you thought it was a typo or knew about the differences across countries.

Plus now naz_eg knows that things are a little different here in OZ :)

          that was never meant to be rude or disrespectful, nor do I think it came across as such;

I did not think it was, just adding it in as i thought you (and others) might not know about the differences.

  • Are these the photocopied keys from soviet russia, again?

    • -2

They're possibly from Russia, or the Russian Federation; but the Soviet Union was dissolved back in '91 IIRC! Remember perestroika & all that jazz! :)

Not having a go at your or deliberately being nit-picky, but some of my Russian friends find the old term Soviet Russia somewhat derogatory in light of the Yakov Smirnoff jokes. Anyway, just FYI in case you meet some Russians, you don't necessarily wanna tick them off in case you get an impromptu Sambo lesson! ;)

  • it should be 33% off….

  • Are you the same mob from http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/40625 ??

    • No, they are a different "mob" :)

There's several of these cd key selling websites.

  • Not much of a celebration, if it's only a 10% discount :) Should be a 33.33% off, as Eldubb says…

Btw, just as a constructive criticism, I think your company's tagline is slightly off. Shouldn't it say something along the lines of "Why should you pay more?" instead of the current "Why do you pay more?"

    Indeed, Y U PAY MORE???

    • The reason of these mistakes come from my main language is not English and my English is not perfect. I apologize for misunderstandings.

For the discount thing, our profit is not so much, u can be sure.

      • +2

Don't worry about it dude, most of us here realise the language thing & don't really care if it's perfect, as long as we can understand it! :)

Your English is a lot better than my Turkish; hang on, I can't speak any Turkish; there you go, you're sounding better already! ;)

        • Thanks for your understanding :)

    • I think it makes sense.

"Why do you pay more" is saying why do you pay more shopping elsewhere when you could buy from us for less.

Every language has different ways of saying things and this is an example of that.

      • Yep! Actually, English is one of the most convoluted languages, and among the most difficult to learn!

Direct literal translation is often difficult not only due to the different grammatical structures, but also significant lexical & morphological differences!

        • Yep! Actually, English is one of the most convoluted languages, and among the most difficult to learn!

I have (or had as i cant find it now) an email which had several groups of 2 separate sentences/statements with examples of homographs, it was fun giving it to friends who did not speak English as a main language.

Chiniese has some good ones too http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/m%C4%81

        • Agreed, homographs & irregular tense forms are absolute horrors for people of NESB when learning English! ;)

Actually, Mandarin's not so bad, only 4 +1(neutral) tones…Thai has 7, and Cantonese is the worst I know of, with 9 separate tones! :o

The Chinese are more funny than they let on, even though they contextualise even poor tonal quality quite well; they'll let you think they don't understand you when you're saying something humourous, like stifling laughter when you're repeatedly trying to describe your mother & you're actually saying 'horse'…bastards! ;)

  • Anyone know if the battlefield 3 preorder is the limited edition? or is it just the standard version?

    • You can choose standart or limited edition, there's an option for this.

  • cant wait until you have Dungeon Siege III!!

surprised actually as its already availible for prepurchase…

    "Might & Magic® Heroes® VI" will be good too…

  • Will you sell BLINK cdkey?

    • I mean BRINK

      • We'll sell if there's not a region restriction. Sorry for the delay, i have 5 message per day, i coulnd't send a reply yesterday.

  • no crysis 2 cdkey 4 sale?

    • The developer emailed them to ask them to stop selling Crysis 2 keys.
