Its the original versions, the remastered version is sold separately (entitled Bodysnatcher). This Amazon.co.uk confirms it indeed has the original

Personally I prefer the remastered versions but only because I grew up on them (I never owned the VHS tapes) - but I own both sets now so I can alternate if I wish :P An additional note: Only the first 3 series were remastered which was done in order to promote the show in Japan with a less dated look & removing some clumsy scenes
Not sure how you ended up with the remastered version after only buying Series 1 <_< I bought my Red Dwarf DVDs though upon their original release dates, perhaps they've changed
I've never seen the remasters so I don't really care about them. Thanks to this deal I have finally upgraded my old VHS set, thanks!
I used to love this show, but after the bastardisation of it by making seasons 7 and onwards, I can't enjoy any of it any more. And that remastered crap was offensive to my eyes and ears.
They really should have stopped making any more after season 5. Season 6 is passable, but no-where near as good as seasons 1 to 5.
Great deal though, it used to cost us around $20 a video tape back in the day, and that was only half a season!

Me too. Couldn't set Australia if I payed by paypal, or as the delivery address. I just used a CC and it let me select Australia as the county, then just selected send to CC address.

I wonder if these are the original shows or those horrendous 'remastered' versions with the awful looking computer graphics that completely destroy the original charm of the show. I gave away my season 1 DVD in favour of my old VHS tapes, which are actually watchhable. It's like trying to watch the remastered Star Wars 4, 5 and 6 after seeing the original unadulterated movies, you have to wonder why they went to so much trouble to destroy something so good.
According to Wikipedia most recent DVD releases have the original show, but there's no way of knowing how old the stock on this website is:
