  • Just bought the game yesterday for $44 from JBHiFi…

I'd try and return it. Say that someone else bought it for you as a gift or something.

      • +1

he should return it in a different store.

  • Definitely buying it at this price. Elex is also really cheap at $16.45. Meant to be pretty fun!

Associated with Sony or Ninja Theory?

      • +1

        Lol no - I wish.

Good price. For PC users, best price atm is $15USD (~$21AUD) at Humble Bundle store.
Added bonus is that it includes both standard and VR version.

    • A VR version of this?! I'd faint

    • Link?

    • Super Fun and freaky in VR.
Wear surround headphones for a full immersion

Am I the only one who finds this game to be incredibly boring? I bought it months ago on Xbox expecting it to be amazing, after reading all the reviews, but it's essentially a walking sim with repetitive puzzles. Walk, do a rune puzzle, fight a few enemies, repeat. Giving you the sense of what having a mental illness is like is not a selling factor for me. The graphics are nice, and the combat is just ok, but that's it. I haven't finished it, and I don't really have to desire to do so, but I will push myself to eventually, because I bought it.

    • For $18 it’s well worth it.

Ninja Theory marketed this as an indie game with high production quality. Which describes the game well.

It's not a game for everyone. The game play is actually rather boring. What makes it interesting is the use of audio to portray madness. Unfortunately this only really works well if you have a decent set of headphones and if the audio doesn't interest you then the rest of the game probably won't interest you either.

    • Everyone is different.

Personally this sounds like the perfect game for me. When I get the rare opportunity to play Sony for half an hour before bed a nice relaxed, atmospheric 'walking simulator' is exactly what I'm looking for.

      • +1

Trust me, when the main character is screaming all the time and you hear voices non stop, this is FAR from relaxing. It's more like a torture simulator. It's simulating mental illness. It's an extremely uncomfortable experience with headphones on.

Agreed - I bought this on the notion of good reviews of an indie title. Watched their dev diaries on youtube as well. But couple chapters in it was as repetitive as it could get. When I looked up the guide online hoping it'd be different in later chapters, as it turns out, it's all just the same over and over.

      Oh well.

      i agree with you.
sure the presentation is great, but game play is kinda boring.
after about 1 hour of play i've seen enough

    • +2

+1. Found it to be an average, fairly dull game. I don’t get the hype around it whatsoever. #opinions

  • +2

It's strongly recommended to play with headphones on, which is truly a trip.

Also, there's very little replay value if you solely calculate gameplay hours per dollar.

  • +1

Is amazon known to price match playStation store? 15gb would take me days…

    • No, it’s not the same product.

  • Good game, well worth it at this price.
