Small/Medium/Large Self Adhesive Easy To Remove Hooks

Looking for a bunch of self adhesive easily removable hooks for a bunch of reasons including:

  • around the kitchen for very large pots and pans
  • near the front door for clothes, umbrellas and bags
  • all around the bathroom for clothes, towels, toilet paper holders, etc
  • bedroom extra carrying space and maybe some clothes

Main thing is to find something that is disposable and does no damage to the walls although I have used some nails in some places for some hanging purposes.

I guess a variety of large strong hooks for the kitchen heavy pots and some small to medium hooks for the bathroom and bedroom and front door.

Would be stocking up on up to 50 maybe keeping some in storage for a rainy day (trust me this mentality has saved me many times in this new living arrangement).

Normally family takes care of everything but now I take care of these random people in my lives which I don't mind it is just different.

Have you ever heard of 3M Command hooks?

    • Yeah but where is the best price to buy em?

      • +2

        Google it? Costco? Bunnings? Woolies?

      • If I am not in a hurry, lurking and pouncing on posted deals is what I do :)

    • Have a look at the Permastik range at Bunnings. They're clones of 3M Command hooks and are cheaper. Haven't tried them myself though.

Wouldn’t recommend them. Bought a pack of Permastik Cable Holders to reorganise some wiring and it only worked fine on vertical surfaces (e.g. walls), and even then I had to hold them down for a long time (placed books to push it against the wall).
When I tried using them underneath a table, they did not stick. Held it there for a long time, even flipped the table and use something to weigh it down didn’t work.
Bought the 3M Command ones and worked like a charm. You may have better luck with other products in the Permastick range, but I’d go straight for 3M Command

        • Thanks for the heads up have had so many bad experiences going the non main brand route I think will stick with the 3M market leader brand for this one thanks to your Permastik review.

I think OP is testing us, I cant believe anyone who hasn't came across 3M hooks :)

      • I have heard of em but want to know what is the best price am also checking aliexpress for example.

        • They are rarely on sale. I have been waiting for deals on them as well for quite a while :)

          • @kolorijo: Damn. I just need to pick up a bunch and put maybe up to 45 in 5 different rooms no lie.

            • @AlienC:

@HighAndDry: Kitchen - minimum 5 pots and pans some may even use two hooks for safety then there is cutlery (current method is basically just put them anywhere.. and that sometimes means even on the pantry floor where we had rats before yuck)

Bathroom - living in a bachelor pad we need more hooks.. one hook for each person's toothbrush and toiletries bag then another for towels then countless ones for hanging clothes while showering etc and that doesn't even include the mirror I need in two of the bathrooms with no mirrors.. one in the shower one at the sink.. shaving is tricky with no mirror and not a fan of the feel and shave methodology.. basically we get a lot of people coming through mostly travellers so hooks are a godsend since putting cupboards everywhere is not a viable option.

Lounge/Library - having a place to put something can be a lifesaver from clothes to random items like currently we have a bag holding some random stuff held up by a nail.. has like a handheld fan countless mail etc

Bedroom - pretty much all of the above but in my room so I hang keys, torches, robes, towels, aldi/coles/woolworths bags, rubbish bag, would be nice to have one maybe also for some headphones and other things I sometimes carry with me.. not even including hats and big jackets which is just in a pile right now.

But yeah some might even be for holding rubbish bags or holding up grocery bags as my housemates currently just put them anywhere.

I am the most organized person in the house probably in the street lol. Organized but not clean.. still working on that one.

If I can organize the bathroom and kitchen properly completely this year and have a system that everyone approves of then that would be a huge step for me this year. Last year I sorted 99% of my bedroom stuff and it is okay now will be trying to tackle the attic space next year probably or end of this year then renovating two big huge empty but in disrepair rooms downstairs since it gets nice and cold there especially during the summer but that one requires a lot more researching and learning as it needs everything from new electrical to new walls to new carpet and all the repairs in between to get it fully functional as a useful room.

Yeah that is some of the reason I need hooks but trust me I will meet someone who will find a new reason to need it so best to have some in backup like the rest of my things and stuff. Already lost all the $1-2 torches I bought last year haha to guests and what not.

                • @AlienC: Ah wow. That's next level organisation, nice. You sound like a great roommate/housemate.

                  • @HighAndDry: I try to be but have to learn at the same time to know when not to over do it but my current place needs a bit of help in organizing and fixing/helping.

                • @AlienC: Pics or it didn't happen.

              @AlienC: So 9 hooks a room.

You'll be so good at putting up hooks, you'll be practically a hooker.

              • @[Deactivated]: A professional but cheap hooker ;) nothing wrong there at all

I been using suction cup hooks and they work great on non-porous surfaces like glass splashback and tiles. I even got some pads that help them stick to kitchen cabinets. Ikea had them for 1.99 just recently, bought a bunch. Can also buy in Bunnings and Spoitlight.

    • Sorry to say, suction cup hook never did work for me, not reliable.
Not that 3M command hooks are perfect, sometimes they can take off the paint, but still better than suction cup hook.

does no damage to the walls

Not always possible, unless you suction cup everything maybe? Even the 3M ones can take off paint sometimes.

    • Ah that is ok then this place is falling apart anyways but just wanted to make sure I got no nail in hook recommendations
