    Coconut block FTW!

Coconut block is also low in sugar. :) at 37.2g per 100g VS most other blocks of choc that are around 50g per 100g

I'm not sure that you could use the words "Low in sugar" at 37%

The coconut one is amazing. But don't read the fat info on the rear label - it's no kale shake on the health front!

Nothing that tastes that good is near healthy for you!

  • Coconut is so bomb, been waiting for it to be on sale again!

  • So do I go for all or nothing cocoa coconut?

My entire life I've put Whittakers Peanut Slab in my absolute top tier chocolate. This deal has made me realise I've never actually tried anything else from their range and now I see they have a COCONUT VERSION!?. I've already asked the mrs to bring me a block from work best day ever!

Remember this moment, nothing will ever be the same again….well certainly not your cholesterol levels anyway. ;-)

      • 29 years building to this very moment

        • Keep some tissues handy.

      • Or sugar levels. Or teeth. Or waist line for that matter.

        • More like waste line in my case…

If you like peppermint in your chocolate, this brand is to DIE FOR

    • +2

It's so good. And the dark versions have no dairy (though they may contains traces) so they're generally friendly for most dairy allergic people, which a lot of dark chocolates aren't.

      • Dark chocolate in general has no dairy. It's not a blanket rule though; Lindt 70% and 85% has no dairy while their 78% does have milk.

        • It's usually the very dark kind, the ones that have that quite dry taste (like the Lindt) and don't come in flavoured blocks. What I like about the Whittakers is that they don't have that very dry taste and they have the peppermint and almond options.

@SeaWolf au: If you like the flavoured options the Aldi Moser roth dark chocolate (peppermint, orange, possibly chili?) are also dairy free. It's not bitter at all

            • @unelectric: Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check those out next time I'm near an Aldi.

50% or the bust expansion isn't worth it

  • I always wonder, does the peppermint genuinely from Ghana? born and bred per say

  • Do these ever go on sale or should I jump on it now?

  • Perfect timing, picking up this weekend.

    • Chocolates sale season is just over.. anything that makes the timing 'perfect'? Or it's just for you?

      • I will need to hand in my OzBargain membership card if I didn't take advantage of my 10% off discount this weekend for being a Woolies Insurance customer.

  • I miss Dark Ghana :-( I don't know why they aren't stocked anymore!
