  • need a Sony WH-1000XM3, any bargains?

  • I'm hoping for a Note 9 sub $1000?

    • +1

I am in the market for that too, and so far it's all phones (with inflated prices), and another seller called luvyourphone which has shady reputation for sending opened/used phones as new, never used ones. I don't feel comfortable to purchase such an expensive phone from them, or on eBay to be honest. Hopefully better sellers will lower their prices soon, fingers crossed.

      • Luvyourphone is great I've bought 3 phones from them. You can buy phones in different conditions all of mine have been in as new condition and they came perfect in the original boxes with the right papers and cords.

        • I have checked their phones during several eBay deals, and they have 99% positive feedback on eBay (although a lot of Aussie eBay sellers have 99.5+% feedback), but I saw a lot of people complaining about them here and here among other places. It might be OK to buy a refurb or other cheap stuff from them, but I really don't feel confident to buy a brand new Note 9 from them, knowing how expensive the screens are if shits the fan and that Samsung AU won't go anywhere near it. So it's you and them going back and forth for a refund/replacement for weeks or months. Nah! I would rather pay little bit more and wait for a deal from other sellers where warranty won't be an issue.

          • @AussieDaddy: My phones where not that cheap i paid $500 for my Z2 and i got my partners S7 edge for like $600 with the 20% of deal years ago and both phones have been fine my girlfriend is still using hers 2 years on. I had an issue with my older Xperia i bought from them (my fault for taking it under water) and i asked them for warranty and they where very good about it. Super speedy and polite no issue as such. They are located at Botany in Sydney and i am the next suburb down so there is also that.

            • @aussieprepper: It's weird, isn't it? Knowing how tough Product Review crowd is, luvyourphone has a very high rating there, out of over 1000 reviews. Maybe they either got their shit together lately, or they were unfairly targeted by OzBargain crowd (though similar complaints were posted in their eBay feedback page). I hope they're as good as you say they're, but I would still prefer to buy a Note 9 from a local store, i.e. The Good Guys/JB HiFi/Harvey Norman etc, than from an eBay seller. Warranty issue is my biggest fear when it comes to a $1000+ phone.

          • @AussieDaddy: I now own a LG after 3 Xperia in a row and nothing but issues with this phone Sigh! Just had the volume buttons stop working for no reason. I bought it from a Hong Kong seller so no warranty as such oh well last LG phone i buy. I was going to buy another Xperia from Luvyourphone but i went with the LG because of the camera lol.

Edit i just read the link you sent all my phones including the S7 edge have been Telstra branded phones

Can we impose a rule that everyone who upvotes eBay deals must comment, otherwise their upvote is invalid? There's no way another one of these generic deals has 230~ upvotes in a couple hours. It's seriously suss at this point.

    • -1

This a fairly salty comment. Who are you accusing? TA or eBay?

Maybe Some people upvote because they like the work TA does?

Either way I'm sure the admins would notice if some thing was wrong.

      • +3

Erm, salty about what exactly…? I'm not 'accusing' anyone. I'm just saying it's suspicious all these eBay deals get 200+ instantaneous upvotes. Almost seems like they're getting botted.

        • if the simplest explanation is the correct one, then im guessing it goes like this:

casual ozbargainers who only see deals via a feed, app, or other website see the ebay 20% off deal
think its great cos 20% off almost everything
click through the link and pos vote or just click through because tfw no ozbargain account
          never comment

  • Any good deal with smart watch? Was looking at Samsung gear s3 frontier, miss out on the boxing day sale

  • +3
    • Was looking at this as well. ebay sales are an absolute joke! Can't wait for the ACCC to grow a pair and issue an ultimatum - sellers can ultimately do what they want, but for ebay to promote the sale, that is deceptive and misleading.

    • Well I'll be damned… SydneyTec :)

  • Hisense 55P7 for $866 plus delivery from VideoPro seems like a good deal as long as the price isn't jacked up. Anyone bought from them before?

    • +1

      Anyone bought from them before?

      A lot from ozbargain

    • +1

Yes a number of times inc a Sony 55" and a Hisense 49" TV. Not known for Jacking prices. My only grumble about them is they often have your order sitting around 4-5 working days before they pick and send it.

  • -1

    Metro Hobbies

No bargains with 20% off and jacked .

  • Is there any way to find if prices have changed?. Was looking at getting the PS4 1tb slim (damaged box) listed currently @ $429

    • +1

Go window shopping today and write down the price item + shipping. Then check again tomorrow. You can also do an ebay advanced search for previous items sold and what they went for.

  • Where’s Ryda.com.. 😭

    • No frills is an offshoot I thought?
Not as much stock as Ryda (ebay prices always bit more than their web site though)

      • Their eBay stores used to be identical (shared stock values, prices etc.) with both stores participating in the 20% deals. Last time I checked only one store now participates and the prices were jacked.

  • Hi Guys, IS there any decent Dash Cam that I can get with this deal. Appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.

  • Any good 75" QLED?

  • Just my two bits… I believe ebay drops the seller fees for people to participating in these sales, which is probably around 10%. Sellers cover the other 10%. I understand them jacking by 10% so they dont lose and you still win. Jacking by 20% though is just stupid, because nobody will buy it…

    • just because ozbargainers won't bite, it doesn't mean that 99% of ebay shoppers wont

    • They still win if they don't price jack at all, from extra number of sales. Any price jack is just greed.

  • Any places with iPhones XS max? Alllphones only have base models to bad need one for gift.

  • LG OLED 55” B8 $1716 plus delivery is decent. Not as good as the PLUGIT deals from December but still a good discount.

  • +4

Avoid Melbourne Electronic .. they pulled the tracking number trick where the item never comes.. then they send a tracking number for a nearby suburb and raise a dispute against you (which eBay sides with them on).

  • 740 for an rtx 2070 from future after discount, decent if it doesn't get jacked.

  • Samsung 65" Q7 $2,790 before discount plus + $40 delivery.

    So $2,272.00 delivered not bad.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/QA65Q7FNAWXXY-Samsung-65-inch-Se…

    • It was cheaper in the past though through TGG eBay promo. Appliance central doesn't have very good review as well, at least on google!

      • +1

Avoid Appliance Central. Their communication is terrible, they lie about shipping items only to later admit they had no stock and were trying to acquire more. The TV I purchased was end of life and after a month of trying to get answers I had eBay refund me.
        Was not a good experience.

    • Seem Q7 listing ended.

Can anyone see a good deal for an Apple TV 4K or an nVidia Shield?

  • Wanting a wireless Logitech mouse but the G603 will still be $90, the G Pro is a whopping $180, the G703 is like $110, no thanks.

  • There's some decent 2nd hand phones to be had with 20% off.

  • -2

    Any good air conditioner deals

  • +11

Can't people put what they're looking for in the search link instead of asking if anyone can tell them if such and such deal exists?

  • No Sony A7 mk3 that I can see only a7r mk3

  • -4

  • +1

Anyone had experience with My Phonez? They look dodgey AF with random prices for the same phone. Poor descriptions and titles….

  • Obligatory code not working…

    Oh wait, it's not 10am!!

  • +1

It seems every 1050 Ti with code is about 20% more expensive than elsewhere on eBay.

  • The Osmo Pocket comes down to $519.20 if they don't jack it - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DJI-CP-ZM-00000097-01-Osmo-Pocke… - thoughts?

  • I was looking at SC MUSIC to purchase a new Maton. Had a look at today's price and wham! $200 increase haha. Won't be pulling the trigger now 😭😭😭

  • Anyone know the answer to this - for the nvidia rtx 2080 founder's edition, when sellers say "only with system build", what does that entail? What minimum components are required to qualify? do stores actually care?

  • Combine with the $5 free gift card this is a bit better.

  • Metro Hobbies seem to have left their prices unchanged, which means there are some nice discounts to be had one board games and RC stuff.

  • Has anyone used three code yet? Trying to buy a TV from VideoPro and it just says the code can't be used even though the item says the code can be used on it.

    • +1

I love the robot, and I think the price is good (I paid AUD 350, September 2017).

      • really!? how did you get that price

        • ebay coupon:

          Paid: AU $351.16 with PayPal
You saved AU $87.79 with your coupon
          Seller: shoppingsquareaustralia

    • This is first generation, right?

  • +1

Any stuff I'm interested in is no cheaper with the participating retailers and 20% off than it is with the non-participating retailers. All the 20% off does is bring the price down to what it should be in the first place. :(

  • -1

Just paid $1907 for iPhone XS max 512gb saved $478!

    • Who did you buy it from?

    • Congrats, you paid nearly $2000 on a phone that does no more than a $500 Chinadroid

      • $500 Chinadroid

        link?

  • thanks OP just got me a sandisk ultra 200GB microSD card for $57.11 shipped

  • Can someone can help with Bose Headphones please?
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bose-SoundSport-Wireless-Headpho…
    205-20%(41)= $164 _Is this a good price?

  • Hopefully this is a legit listing:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MOTOROLA-G6-PLAY-DEEP-INDIGO/254…

With the code it's $215 delivered. Not too Shabby

    • REceived confirmation from seller that these are Australian Stock and Brand New. Good price!

  • No cheap shield TVs :( gutted I missed out on that glut of ~$170 units last month..

  • Any good price for Xiaomi Mi Roborock S50?

  • This was $299 before the code started.

I went to buy one for $299 but thought I would wait for the code then bam. Is this ethical?

    • So $260 (even less with discounted ebay giftcards) which is cheaper than anywhere else according to staticice and pricehipster and you're still not willing to budge?

  • bought Garmin Dash Cam 55 for $196 delivered (ebay plus). Thanks TA!
