Buying a Property in Queensland

Can someone please tell me if, as a property buyer in Queensland, I ask a real estate agent for rejected offers on a specific property, do they have to disclose this?

Of course not. Why would you think they'd have any kind of obligation to tell you that information? Imagine you're at an auction, do the other bidders have to tell you how high they're willing to bid too?

Who cares, they are REJECTED offers, why does it matter to you?

Put in an offer, its accepted, its accepted. If not, move on or put in a higher offer.

  • Not that I am aware of. Obviously they can't lie, but I imagine they will treat all offers as confidential.

Does anyone know the CORRECT answer? Are you all just guessing?

      "Are you all just guessing?"

Are you new to the internet?

It's in the real estate agents interest not to disclose the current rejected offer, as they want buyers to put in much higher offers.
Not to mention, even if they gave you a number, it's probably been inflated, with additional words such as "There is a lot of interest in this property right now".

  • Answer is no. If you want to avoid the whole silly pain in the ass guessing game just a realtor of your own to help you, and when you find a property they can give you an educated number to start from.

  • So doesn't the vendor just say how much they want for the property?

talked to a realestate friend of mine, and she basically said you can ask, but most likely are gonna be told no

    • They usually say "nnnnnyyaaaa….rejected offer was close to asking price……" :-)

  • I ask a real estate agent for rejected offers on a specific property>>>

So you are only interested in Rejected Offers? How about Other Offers? How about deals that have folded? How about offers that were first rejected, then the Buyer increased it, and still in the process of negotiating?

  • Are you sure you're not confusing it with the requirement that the agent disclose to seller ALL offers?
