Anyone have one of these Rockwell Shop Series Car Polishers? How are they? Good value for $89? I'll probably only use it once a year, but would like it to do an adequate job. Never used a polisher before too.
Would like some feed back from people own it and have used it.

Unless you leave it running full speed with a deep cutting compound and pad for 10 minutes in the one spot you will not damage your duco. That's why these were invented. Rotary polishers are what kill paint.
They're great. I've had mine for three years used and abused mine (though it is the previous model) as I run a very small import dealership, and while its not gonna be as good as what a detailer has, the results are pretty close. The product you use it with plays a major part too, I've had varying results with Meguiars Ultimate Compound (mostly good) and generally terrible results with armor all compound and turtle wax speed compound products. Technique will also be a factor in how good the end result is.
These are good value. Use good quality pads and products (I concur with meguiars ultimate compound) and you can easily transform your car with this. Heaps of YouTube videos on techniques etc. Slow and methodical gets the best results. One day I'll spoil myself with a rupes Bigfoot.
