Thoughts on HP Envy 13 as Laptop for University?

I will be looking to get this laptop as for back to school, is on sale for $1169 for students with unidays. Is this laptop a good alternative to devices such as dell xps 13 and surface laptop 2? Worth the money? This will be used to study bachelor of information technology. Thanks for your input!

    I have a similarly specced laptop (except it's i5 7th gen) and it's more than enough for what I do at uni (computer science). Granted I have a PC at home which is what I use primarily, I only use the laptop at uni for web browsing, programming, reading documents etc, it can also play LoL fine if you're into that.

    I paid about the same price and honestly I would not spend more than that if you are only after a device to use at uni.
