Problem: Student that is currently in Malta for the next 2 weeks then travelling in Europe for the next 2 months. I broke my Samsung Galaxy S5 unexpectedly.
What's it like to buy a phone in Europe? Is it more expensive than in Australia? I'd be looking for a midrange Android ~$500-$700 ideally.
Should I just wait til I'm back in Australia? Should I just buy a cheaper phone to tide me over?
UPDATE:
I've decided to borrow the old phone (which is newer than my S5) of a friend arriving in 2-3 weeks time, and will go without one in the interim. I will buy one once I get back to Australia.
Thanks for all the helpful advice.
P.S. I hope the surly ones who had nothing constructive or positive to post a great new year, because you're hilarious
Depends on what you use your phone for. If you'll be taking lots of photos on the trip then maybe worth getting a good phone. If you mainly just use messaging and calls then just get a cheap one then worry about it once you're back.
