i remembered about 4 years ago when I bought my first house that there was a free website that gave you the values of property similar to RPData. So you could actually find out how much the last owner bought it for and rent collected (sometimes) and all that other really useful information.

anyone know what it was? i have absolutely forgotten…

    I've never known such a site to exist? I just paid $49.95 off RPData and settled for that :P

    Try www.onthehouse.com.au although it covers only the last 10 years. The street search feature is quite good, so you can see pricing of other properties on the street.
