VORNADO AIR PURIFIERS - AC300 and AC500
(Copied from previous similar deal/website)

You’ll breathe easier knowing that the Vornado Air Purifier True HEPA collection removes 99.97% of airborne contaminants in your home.

The Vornado AC500 Whole Room Air Purifier uses true HEPA filtration, one of the most effective filters available, to remove up to 99.97% of airborne allergens down to 0.3 microns in size. The Vornado Whole Room Purifier actively circulates and filters all the air throughout a room. Without powerful circulation, the air cleaner is only cleaning the immediate area around the unit.

The AC500 uses a radial blower to intake and clean all the air in a room – up to 30m². Precision engineering allows the blower to operate quietly, despite its powerful air flow. The AC500 uses a combination of 2 True HEPA and 2 Carbon filters to trap Dust, Pollen, Pet Dander, Smoke, Bacteria, Mold Spores, Dust Mites, and more. The carbon filter both adsorbs odors and traps larger particles.

When in ‘auto mode’, advanced dust sensing technology detects the level of dust in a room, fluctuating the cleaning cycle up or down, depending on the air quality.

Features 4 speeds, push button electronic controls, filter replacement indicator, sleep mode and industry leading 5 Year Replacement Warranty.

AC300 CADR Ratings: Dust – 152 | Pollen – 170 | Smoke – 142
AC500 CADR Ratings: Dust – 218 | Pollen – 245 | Smoke – 205

AC300 Unit includes one (1) True HEPA Filter and One (1) Activated Carbon filter.
AC500 Unit includes two(2) True HEPA Filters and Two(2) Activated Carbon filters.

Xiamio are WiFi so you can see the api temp etc of the room. Guessing the filters should be just as good for both

    • How much is a replacement filter? I have a Sharp air purifier and a new filter is over $100.

      • Looks like $53.90 for the HEPA filter and $20.90 for 2 x carbon filters.

        • so a little more then xiaomi ones

          • @asa79: Than. Not hard.

Was almost going to get one but reading a lot of reviews online about how it starts rattling after about 12 months. Apparently this is a long standing issue for models as far back as 2012.

    Just FYI

    • Thanks for the info. Might stay away from it then.

  • In the Market for an air purifier. I've seen rabbitair and Honeywell recommended a lot. How do we think this compairs?

    • I have 4x xiaomi 2 units and they have been great. The missus noticed a difference straight away with her sinus. I also connect them to home assistant for temp sensor and api sensor. So I can start and stop on schedule or if someone is in room motion sensor

  • Anyone know how this might compare to the Ionmax ION420 ? catchof theday have it for $199, was going to grab one, seems ok on paper, even has one of those UV-C lights.

The others I was looking at were

    Ionmax ION390
    Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2
    SHARP FPF30JH

Its only for a small room roughly <100sq/ft (9m2)
