I knew that one day OZB would find me a house. What a website

  • It looks like a kids version from Costco going by the thumbnail

    • Hi, no its a full sized shed, the biggest that Keter do. Over 2.5m high.

      • Where are these made in?

        • Keter is based in Israel, with other plants in Europe also which Ive visited, great company to work with, very proud of their range and innovation.

        • Real question should be: Plastic (Easiest to set up) vs Metal (Cheapest) vs Wood (Need I say more? Amazing).

But OP didn't answer clearly. Made in Israel or just based in Israel?

          • @plague69: Hi, yes there operation is based in Israel, thats where they make most of their products, the have other factories in Europe also. Ive visited their furniture factory in the Netherlands, very impressive.

    • Costco was actually selling the smaller version of this last year. Only 2.2 X 2.3m, but also only $1080. For what it's worth, it looked like a very nice shed.

  • Hi Rep. Any deals on your cabins… the 'Barossa' for example? Planning to install sometime this year and have been eyeing off an Aarons Shed recently.

Hi, yes we will be able to do something for you, please get in touch and mention Ozbargain and we will look after you.

  • Interested. What sort of wind speed can this thing resist?

  • There arent any wind ratings on these sheds, actually not many sheds do have wind ratings, but its a very sturdy shed. Its not going to survive a cyclone, but there isnt much that would. High winds in a suburban sheltered area will be fine though.

    From Keter's site:

"Boasts a double wall weather-resistant build with steel reinforcement, a heavy-duty floor, heavy-duty roof and generous storage space."

Very rare that we have any parts required due to storm damage.

i think you will find nearly every shed will have a wind design to AS1170 and will also have design referencing importance levels, topographic and shielding.

a shed that has no design wind rating is unlikely to be Australian steel and design. and even if it it were Chinese steel; this does not prohibit a shed manufacturer having the steel and engineers design, certified to confirm it does meet Australian Standards.

if it were me i would want to know that any shed / structure were rated to at least a N2 wind rating if living in town.

  • These definitely meet Australian standards.
Keter, the largest plastic shed manufacturer in the world though, dont provide wind ratings on their sheds.
Part of a wind rating is to do with anchoring and installation which is not always a known quantity with a DIY product.

  • Can hailstone damage these?

    • Id say cricket ball sized hail maybe could, but I dont think weve had it that bad in Australia. The roof is very tough though.

  • Website appears to be down

    • Works for me.

  • Hi Landera any chance you can do a half price special on the KETER UNITY BBQ STORAGE/WORK TABLE?

    • Hi, sorry we do have the best price including delivery currently. Theres not enough room in that one to make it half price. I do own one of these myself and they are a great product, cant recommend them enough, we sell a lot of them.

      • thanks for replying. I agree, they do look like a fabulous BBQ cabinet.

  • Can some one help . Is council approval required for this to be placed in the backyard of unit ( in Vic)

    • Not if it's less than 9 m2,

  • thanks
