[PC] Steam - SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition - $4 USD (~$5.61 AUD) - Chrono.gg

130

Pretty good price for an old but great game.

From the website:

Alright folks, let’s be real, Sim City’s a pretty cut and dry situation. Either your brain enjoys and accepts this type of super in-depth city management game, or it doesn’t, but you’ll never know for sure until you try, and people have spent four bucks on much much less, (Me, a Cheesy Bacon Crispy Chicken sandwich from Burger King) so why not give it a shot? However, we realize that high fidelity simulations can get a little Black Mirror-y and existentially upsetting sometimes, especially if you’re not familiar, so here’s a list of things that shouldn’t ever happen in Sim City. If you see any of this go down, you may need to see a professional.

-SimCity’s famous for its disasters, and yes, UFO’s are a possible outcome, but if your elected officials stop acting like themselves and you swear you’ve seen them scratching their necklines like their face skin is a removable mask, that’s the drugs, not the game.

-It is normal to want to construct the most perfect and efficient city possible. However, if the plans begin coming to you in your dreams, your friends are abandoning you, and you can’t keep the name Nyarlathotep off your lips, it might be time to stop seeing that weird priest you’ve been grabbing coffee with lately.

-In Sim City 4, you create regions which you can then build several connected cities in, but if one of the cities militarizes and begins systematically blockading and subjugating its neighbors, don’t worry, you’re not playing Sim City 4, you’re playing Civ 6.
Steam Description

SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition includes the bestselling SimCity 4 and the all-new SimCity 4 Rush Hour Expansion Pack. Create the most massive region of cities ever, with a farming town, bedroom community, high-tech commercial center, and industrial backbone.

Enjoy!

  • SimTown is not worth $5

I upvoted because of the opening paragraph, not the deal.

Anyone thinking of grabbing this deal - please get Cities: Skylines instead. FAR better game.

    • Never played it, but I hear it's fantastic. I read that you can design the transport system as well. That's pretty neat.

Probably better to play that especially since EA are doing what they do best.. tanking beloved franchises.

  • I love the Sim City games. I've spent many years playing Sim City 2000. I turn the disasters off so I can just freely build cities…. then tax my little sims until they start to riot.

I suggest giving Pocket City a go. It's an Android (maybe iOS?) game that lets you build cities, manage taxes, etc. There a free version and a pro version. Really good fun when you're on the move, or lying in bed.

you can get this game for $1.74 on g2a

Except that G2A is shady and sometimes sells keys that are stolen or were obtained with stolen money and hence are at risk of being revoked.
G2A is not an official key reseller.
Which is why people do not post G2A deals.

It is like saying you can get a television cheaper from a dodgy dealer in the back alley than from HN or JB Hifi.

      • Yep agreed. I've twice had keys I've bought off g2a revoked as stolen. Never had a problem with Kinguin but same risk applies.

Highly recommend this website to ensure buying from an authorised reseller.
