Subscribing to Newsletters When Entering Competitions

Hi all,

I'm curious as to whether ticking the box that says something along the lines of; "Subscribe to receive all the latest news and deals" effects your chances winning an online competition.

e.g. https://www.lifestyle.com.au/win/entryform.aspx?id=969 under the fill in boxes.

Am I automatically overlooked because I don't want to keep getting emails from them? Or does it not matter?

    I can speak with absolute authority and say that any time you untick the please SPAM me option, your chances go from 1/1,000,000,000 of winning to 1/15,000,000,000. Trust me.

      Because people on this site win things according to the winners section in competitions, and if I am having a slow day at work, why not enter a select few.
