2x Controller Extension Cable 2m for NES & SNES Classic Mini $2 @ Target (in-Store)

1000

Can't find online so assuming in-store only. Spotted at Waurn Ponds but possibly in all stores.

Bought a set of these at $5 previously and they work perfect on my housemate's SNES Classic Mini.

Great deal even though i'm using my JoyCons and Pro Controller on my NES classic using 8bitdo adapter. Once you go wireless you can't go back :)

    • How? I thought it was Switch only?

Does it play smooth as normal? been looking for something like this.

      Hello input lag. đź‘‹

      • Sure but for classic games you won’t feel any difference

        • +2

What!? Classic platformers are the most susceptible to input lag of all games.

          • @PainToad: Sure, I agree. But for me and kids the current setup works playing contra, super mario bros, donkey kong etc without having to worry about tripping the controller cables and accidentally pulling the console from the tv stand like in the good ol days.

        • You definitely will feel the only lag if you speed run

Can Confirm these are $2 at Myer Centre Target, Brisbane. They have about 5 available, has $5 sticker scans at $2 though.

      Only one left now.

Pretty ridiculous that these even have to exist. It’s like Nintendo don’t realise that TVs have gotten substantially larger in the last 30 years and no one huddles around them anymore.

    Great deal OP!

    • The idea is to have the NES mini right in front of you, connected to the TV or monitor by a (long) HDMI cable. That’s why the reset button on the console controls the menu.

That said, these are just Wii remote extension cables. They already existed for connecting Classic controllers and other peripherals to Wii remotes. They just rebranded them and upped the price when the NES Classic came out.

      • +4

But then you also need a really long USB power cable. the reasoning is flawed - the controller cables should be long and the reset button shouldve been put on the controllers.

I just play my NES classic hooked up to a 19" LCD TV that sits on my desk which obviates the controller length issue, but the cords are nevertheless infuriatingly short.

        • Use a pd power bank and belkin wireless hdmi screencast should do?

          • +4

@wtfnodeal: Are you serious? A Screencast alone costs more than a NES Mini.

I pack and unpack my NES mini each time I use it, so I just plug my NES mini into the power plug next to my lounge, rather than trying to access the one behind the entertainment unit.

It’s just a case of getting it out, plugging it into the power, running the HDMI cable to the side of the TV, then packing it up once I’m done.

If I wanted it to live in my entertainment unit, then that would be a different (and less convenient) situation.

  • Target were selling the USB-C car charger for nintendo switch recently for $5. I can confirm they work very well, fast charging the S9 and other USB-C devices nice and quick.

    • 2 left at Macquarie

  • 2x controller extension cables and 2x chargers left at Toombul. Marked with a little price tag at the discounted price.

  • Bah! No stock near me. These retail for $20 elsewhere I doubt Jb would price match items on clearance.

Oh come on! I just ordered One (1) of these last month for $3.51 and it just arrived Monday! (I haven't even taken it out of it's plastic mailing envelope)

This deal is $2 for 2!

    Buyer's remorse much.
