Going to Albany in a few days time. Seems an expensive place to dine out for a family of four. Can anybody recommend good value restaurants or cafes in Albany that they have experienced? Seem to be a few ok value fish and chip places and that’s about it. Have checked cheap eats, etc but nothing jumps out. Any advice from ozbargainers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice, will try that.
Hate to point out, I went to Maccas up on the hill, on the way north out of the city.
Cheap but doubt that is what you're looking for. Just thought I'd mention it's there. Thanks, yes there are are some fast food places there. Subway might be the healthiest best in that category.
Chester pass rd. lunch bar. Dinky di donuts.
Thanks, will try.
We recently were in Albany and we had a seriously yummy kebab and gozleme from the Istanbul Kebab shop !!
Thanks.
KFC
Should never be ruled out as an option Thanks.
We always eat at the Mean Fiddler on York Street when in Albany.
They have some sort of set meal (2 or 3 courses, I can't remember which, or could be both) that is reasonable value.
Our kids always eat the meals there which is a bonus for us as they are super fussy with food.
Last time we were there (Easter) the chips weren't amazing (seemed just like generic frozen chips) but all the other food was great (and they were very accommodating with the options for the set meal - there wasn't a starter I liked /could eat so they offered others I could chose from).
