and its back. what happened?
Is it back or do you just have a cached IP address?
The web host upgraded our server and name servers and I think that the problem is the propagation of the new DNS data for the new nameserver IP addresses. Still waiting to hear from the web hosts as to the exact cause.
The website has not been hacked and the security of personal data has not been breached, of that I can assure you.
Thanks, Steve.
well it gave me an error. now its loading again so im assuming that it wasnt a cached ip.
did they get our members email?
Just to re-iterate the website hasn't been hacked, it just looks like a DNS/IP address re-direction issue due to new host name servers.
The website and database have not been compromised.
Thanks, Steve.
phewww…
OK, it appears it was just a DNS issue.
All fine now.
Thanks, Steve.
Hi Steve,
Every time i tried to log on today, it gave me the following error message "Home page
You need to be logged in to view your home page." Is it the website?
More web server problems unfortunately, we're hoping to get this resolved ASAP.
Thanks, Steve.
Hi Steve,
Do we have an update on this?
Looking to order some Dell stuff sooner than later and was hoping for my 7% :)
Cheers
forkus
Hi,
We're still waiting for support from our web hosts, very frustrating unfortunately, sorry.
Thanks, Steve.
OK, we're back.
Once again sorry for the inconvienience.
We're currently not accepting new registrations until we complete some database audits.
If you have an existing account you can now login and complete transactions as per usual. You may want to clear your browser's cache (as well as cookies which you always do…right :)) to make sure you get the latest version of the site.
Thanks, Steve.
Registrations are now being accepted.
Thanks, Steve.
Thanks Steve :)
Place my order before.
We're still having intermittent DNS issues which seems to primarily affect Bigpond users.
Basically, occasionally the domains used by MBC are being resolved to an IP address that contains an older version of the site (why this is we're still not sure, it appears related to a hardware upgrade to our webserver that happened on the 14th April), this is causing issues with logging in, registering and re-setting passwords.
One way to fix this is to add the following line to your hosts file on you computer, it is far from ideal, but at least will enable MBC members to continue to use our service and enjoy our great cashback offers.

Click this link to find out how to do it.
We'll keep you posted as to what is happening and if anyone has had any similar experiences and any tips to get it resolved PLEASE get in touch!
Thanks, Steve.
Finally IT'S FIXED.
It was a global DNS issue which should now be well on its way to being flushed through.
If you've made the above change to your hosts files, best to remove it now.
Thanks for your patience guys.
Steve.
