Hi, Looking for some advice and help on finding some contents insurance, but really only for portable items.
I want an insurance policy that cover the following:
All the plans I have found so far make you manually add on each item, and I end up with a $100-200 premium per item.

Is it just the listed items you need covered, or those in addition to your general contents?
If its just the listed items for coverage in and away from the home, then Suncorp Trov used to do this (not sure of still does) and NRMA do single item insurance.
It your general contents as well, if you're over 50, Apia has an accidental damage policies that automatically covers items away from the home up to $2500 per item.
Otherwise, you'll need to list them as valuables on an insurance policy at additional charge.
Though look around. Some insurers do specified amd unspecified cover. So you could take $1000 unspec which would cover the phone, laptop and gopro (as the likelihood of you needing to claim for all 3 at the same time is pretty small).
Bikes are usually always a specified item.

Thankyou. Yeah just those items. Up to 2500 portable only would be ideal. Trov quoted me per each item, was over $1k a year
Most insurance companies will only do items taken away from the home in the way you have mentioned.

Most home and contents insurance policies already include cover for most, if not all, of these kinds of items (minus the drone, for obvious reasons). Are you looking for just the contents policy without the "home" part? That would be expensive, just because you're looking for a fairly uncommon, almost bespoke insurance product.
All home and contents or contents only (that I have found), only cover the bike unto $1000 and the gopro. Northing else
if you can find insurance without a premium for drones please let me know - so many lost christmas presents this year.
