Anytime Fitness opened up in Civic, Canberra and they are offering pretty cheap membership. There will be more offers like these for most new foundation member gym membership so feel free to post in the comments and I will add on to the post. Currently only for Civic Gym but there are currently 5 gyms in Canberra Alone. Three gyms coming very soon.

Yes I have visited several, the fob takes a month to be setup in all centers.
After a month you can go to any gym in Australia, there is a map showing them all in the gyms themselves with about 7 in Canberra

I went to sign up with about 5 other people. We got a corporate discount. All of us are paying $9.95 per week with no joining fee.
