Going though lots of pairs of cheap $2 Bunnings garden gloves but reluctant to buy $10 ones I have 6 acres of land to clear by hand
Anyone recommend a hardwaring glove

Yes noted Kennards special and a bulldozer would be ideal but I am clearing undergrowth around neglected fruit trees nothing done for 18 months and now looks like a tropical jungle
What weeds have you faced and how have you removed them?
Pleased let me know what you come up with - I've got about 30 acres of Acacia paradoxa (Kangaroo Thorn) to clear. I'm using brush cutters and chainsaws but, that prickly s#!7 is nasty to move around and I'm needing something that can handle some needle like thorns!
@iDroid: Kerosene and a lit cigarette.
The important thing is to flick the cigarette and do a slow walk away without looking back.
@[Deactivated]: Oh the irony of your comment..
Some fool with Kerosene and a cigarette is the cause of my headache!!!
This property had almost no acacia paradoxa at all until some fool "accidentally" caused a bush fire that gutted the land.. The acacia paradoxa has taken over and will be the main cover for the next 30 years until the gums take over again.. This is, unless I clear it first (I've started, but at a house block per weekend it's going to see me to my grave!! :) )
Not for $2, no.
I have found that riggers gloves are a good combination between price and longevity.
I use gloves at work a lot, although what I do is different to what you would be doing, But I spend a bit more on "Mechanix" gloves, just because they are comfortable and outlast $2 gloves well over the price v. replacement cost of cheap gloves.
(That, and I feel like a special ops tactical operator when I wear them… *pew pew*)
I have a trip to Bunnings tomorrow and will try the Mechanix and riggers gloves to see how they last.
The Special ops thought might flow though to a helmet with headlight for night work.
The best gloves I’ve ever used, for comfort and practicality of working with tools, as well as grip, and dexterity are Ansell Heavy Labourer. But they’re pricey, and as enjoyable as they are to use, they do seem to wear reasonably quickly, around six-eight months of really hard usage.
The problem I have with leather gloves, be they full leather riggers, or half leather half cloth gardeners is that, from my perspective, the leather becomes slimey and slick when damp or wet and so I can’t grip yard tools if I’m working in muddy conditions, additionally they can’t be washed if I cover them in thick mud or concrete, which means they become very stiff the next time I need to use them.
The other thing I like about the Ansells is that I can still use the touch screen on the phone when the gloves are on, and don’t need to constantly take them on and off if I’m trying to change the music, and I can still easily use drills, or saws where the leather gloves I’ve found don’t fit into the trigger of the tool I’m trying to use.
But any moulded gloves with a rubberised grip might offer the same functionality of the Ansells.
stainless steel glove.
These will go close to doing the job (some long thin cactus spines get thru) https://www.rsea.com.au/ppe/hand-protection/specialty/thorn-…
6 acres by hand?
Lol. You're in the wrong department of the wrong store.
You need to be in Kennards to rent some serious gear.
