Roughly the same deal as last time, just ~US$15 more.
The value is still great against 2nd gen, given that this is still at the upper band of the cost of the 2600, and the lower band for the 2600X. Previous discussion - including board recommendations - here.
For RAM, you should be targeting DDR4-3000 and faster, with CL16 or lower. You can tidy up CPU and RAM clocks (and RAM timings) in BIOS, for which there are many straight forward guides online.
As for the inevitable 'BUT MAH FRAMEZ' comments: 2nd gen's single core boost advantage maxes out at about 10%, and the instances where you are experiencing a significant CPU bottleneck (240hz gaming, poorly threaded simulation games), you're unlikely to see anything more than a single digit change in FPS unless you switch to Intel.
If you need a new CPU in the next month or so, this is the best balance between performance and performance per dollar you're going to get. If you can sit tight for a while, we're likely to see some news about 3rd gen Ryzen in 6 days. I don't see 1st gen Ryzen getting much cheaper if at all, but 2nd gen might start sliding towards these price points over the next few months.
Remember that this does not come with a cooler. Enjoy!
I just clicked on it, out of stock now :(
