    Great concept!

Are these local artists doing the paintings?

    Thank you for your feedback!

The founders spent over 18 months trialling and sampling the skill sets of countless artists.

We now have a reliable team of over 80 established and tested painters who can complete just about any job.

They are not all based in Australia, depending on what type of job and the difficulty level of the project is how we determine who is best suited for the role.

I actually forgot to mention above - we offer unlimited revisions on all work!

So once an order is complete we send a hi-res proof via email and then customers get unlimited revisions until your happy with the final piece before we deliver the final product to you.

  • FYI - Not as good as the recent scoopon deal was $95 delivered Australia Wide for a value of $278.00 (65% discount) which was banned from OzBargain due to Sockpuppetting.

Technogear - we have different margins on assorted products, that promotion was for a particular item we had to negotiate heavily with our team to make possible.

This discount code will apply for any order with zero conditions attached.

It does also include 55% off postage costs etc… its a 55% off the total service cost and also you do not need to pay upfront - our system only takes a 20% deposit and the remainder is paid once the artwork is approved, unlike Scoopon it was a payment upfront promotion.

This is our first endeavor offering something on ozbargain (officially)- undoubtedly the more our company grows the healthier our relationship will be with our artists, the easier it will become to negotiate & offer special promotions.

Sorry but the Scoopon association puts your reputation in the red to begin with…

100% hand painted is bullsh***. The "sample" paintings on your site are proof enough. #4 in particular I am 100% positive is a Photoshop job at heart. Most likely your 'artists' do the touch-up work digitally, print it out full-size and literally paint over it like painting by numbers.

    Buyer beware.

    • Ferretallica - it is a pity to hear your negative review - equally to have you defame our credibility due to us having had a promotion on Scoopon a site which is of no direct relation to us.

I would like to confirm that all our work is 100% hand painted.

If we were using digital techniques first of all we would be able to offer "A LOT" cheaper prices and the pieces would not take so long to produce - a digital print can be whipped up in minutes - our first proof takes from 2-3 weeks to be completed at which time we offer to customize the pieces which the process of can add an additional week ++ to undertake.

There is no reason why we would stretch this process so long all in an attempt to "pretend" we are hand painted.

Running a dishonest business wouldn't be good practice and we wouldn't have a good reputation very quickly.

Our business model is to provide a classic product through a modern medium, we are a high end service to cater for the people out there who appreciate it.

Our paintings are produced by artists that a lot of time has been spent finding.

We will shortly be uploading an assortment of new samples from our incoming completed orders.

There have been dozens of new works produced since the site was made a lot of which have had a lot of customization requests from the original photo to be undertaken and the entire process has been photographed in order to be able to showcase on the site - so please reserve your judgment.

None the less ferretalica you are entitled to your freedom of thought and speech, but it is unfortunate that your bad experiences you may have had with Scoopon have been related to our business.

We are in no way associated with them aside from having utilized their company for a promotion in lead up to mother's day.

We offer a 100% money back satisfaction guarantee & only take a 20% deposit from normal orders through our site. We send a hi-res image of the work once it is complete to the client and offer your feedback for revisions till your hearts content & only once your happy and approve the work do we charge the complete amount for the project.

Our goal is to provide breathtaking masterpieces and 100% customized artwork with the click a finger - never before has a service been offered like this in Australia and there is only a handful of others who globally offer such a service online.

We're still a young and new business here in the world wide web & we plan to stay here for a long time to come, our customers satisfaction is highly valued.

      • Hi Andy, thank you for sharing those links, I truly think there are some beautiful pieces of work on that site.

None the less I don't think that their products will do the same justice when printed to "look" like artwork when it really isn't once it is hung on a wall.

I guess for some that is ok - but these digital processes are the exact reason why we felt there was a place in the marketplace for a classic product.

Our finished works have a true texture. I personally own an assortment of art which is displayed in my home, from vintage posters, to stencil art, printed canvas, hand painted canvas & frames & even wall stickers all of which have received their share of complements - the effort that goes into a "one of a kind" hand made piece creates a significantly more valuable addition to anyones home and/or collection.

Not to mention the value of a piece of art which is of something personally cherished has a priceless value - this through time endlessly grows more and more precious like an heirloom which holds a captured memory.

Whether it is of your family, first home or car, pet, sports club, wedding, relative, or as a memorial of a past away relative, friend, pet - we make priceless works of art, the value of which the to the owner instantly becomes priceless as a memory encapsulated artistically by the labor of a passionate artist.

I do find that site very cool Andy - definitely looks like some people have processed some nice works there, but that is a modern technique and will continue to be around for a long time to come - a hand painted canvas is an old and ancient trade & we are aware not all will appreciate it, but many do.

        • I'm not sure I agree with you about the 'priceless art' bit….. it's basically a painting of a photo…. by someone who has no idea nor interest in the meaning or memories behind the photo. The more of themselves they put into the painting, the more is taken away from the original subject, and vice versa. It's like the painting equivalent of karaoke.

Any photograph can be 'priceless' to it's owner, as it's about the memories it contains, not especially the 'details' of the print, camera etc. Nobody will be interested in paying anything for some random baby smiling (painting or photo), yet if it's your baby, then of course you would want to keep/pay for it. I have some old pics taken in one of those passport photo booths, that are very valuable to me……reminds me of a time and a place. They are of course, complete rubbish to anyone else. I reckon I could virtually guarantee that none of your customers will be throwing away their original photographs once their paintings are done……

Lastly, to me….. a photograph has just as much right to be on a wall as any painting. Tidy it up, enlarge and stick it in a frame….. It's priceless as any painting/sculpture, etc etc (to me). An 'artistic' photo is just that…. a photo… why change it into something it's not?

So, not really my cup of tea, but I'm sure you will find a market…..

          good luck :)

      • No I don't mean it's just a Photoshop plugin. My guess would be they do actually paint it but the workflow is something like:

        1) Do any editing/touchups/etc in Photoshop
        2) Print out
        3) Paint over the print-out

        • Site will be updated with a large batch of media in the next fortnight - including a large selection and full range of newly completed works as well as photos & stop motion videos of the artists working on the artwork we have made for our clients to date.

Keep in mind we are a relatively new business and are still preparing all the material to completely activate our online business model the way we would like to!

Feedbacks great Ferretallica, it is very useful to know what people who stop on our site think, which gives us confidence in decisions as to what we need to implement to better outline our service to those who are skeptical.

  • Hmmm.. takes you 2-3 weeks to complete but the prices are around $100 with the promotion?

They must be doing 10-20 at a time to make themselves a living!!! By the time they factor in advertising, your costs, their costs, postage etc….. something is not right here.

    • 31mop - Most artists can not and do not survive solely from painting & do have other jobs.

None the less since we have commenced our journey providing our service online we have processed close to 300 orders across our 80 artists.

We have already have customers returning for 2nd and 3rd orders, thus proving that running our promotion on Scoopon and through other mediums such as here at oz bargain may bite just about the whole margin off our product that we work with but creates awareness, relationship & client database with those who appreciate our service and a foundation for us to grow and move into the future.

  • Andy19363 - regarding your feedback, a hand painted portrait to you may not mean as much as a photo, to others hand painted art is truly a method to encapsulate a memory.

Painting has been a recognized method of securing a memory for 1000's of years and is a classic and specialized trade, anybody can print a photo, these days even a home computer printer, you dont even need to print it - you can just tag it on facebook or make it your desktop background.

Our artists don't put "themselves" as you say into the painting - our work is custom made to suit "your needs" the customers.

We're commissioned by you and the final product is not complete till it is the way "you" the customer wants it too be.

Thanks for your opinions - your entitled to not be interested in our service & are under no obligation to purchase a piece.
