Leasing a Car

When you hear the phrases "car lease" or "leasing a car", do you think of a novated lease with salary sacrifice, or a long-term rental?

  I didn't even know there were long term rentals. I wrongly assumed that people only rented cars when they're on trips or away from home for short periods.
