Just out of curiosity, how much is a room in Sydney that has view of the NYE fireworks. Anyone has had experience before? What’s the hotel name and room type? Thanks. Again, I’m just curious to know. 😜

Today's New Year's Day, not New Year's Eve … Are you in 2018 still?
I was being sarcastic due to the nature of the original post…
Have a look at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay, 30 Pitt Street has H Bridge views. Bookings for that are not open for a few days.
The YHA in the rocks this year was minimum 7 night booking, $700 per person in a multi-share room, $1848 per room in a double room and $2618 per room in a family room, with access to the roof terrace, not a view from the room. Can't image what a 5 star hotel would command.

Airbnb's with views from the north side (eg Milsons Point and surrounds) were starting at 1.5k-2k for the night. That's for a tiny apartment with a slightly obscured view.
I guess they get takers. God knows why. The best view is on TV, and it's free.
Here's the pricing for NYE 2016 for the Intercontinental Sydney. I'm guessing prices have gone up since then.
