First time poster. Please be gentle
I am looking for members help for a reliable website to buy an iphone xs max with two physical SIM card slots. This particular type of iPhone is only sold in Hong Kong and China and the Australian one uses an eSIM which is pretty much useless in Australia
So I need a trusted and reliable website to purchase the iPhone from with two physical Sim card slots.
Also is the network bands in Hong Kong fully compatible with Australian 4G LTE from the big three providers here?(Telstra, Vodafone and Optus).

$2700 for a dual Sim smartphone. Talk about costing an arm and leg.
some people cant eat orange and prefer apple
bitten apple?
Listing states Dual SIM (nano-SIM and eSIM).
Also the model is A2101 which is the Australian model. It does support dual sim (one nano and one eSim), only not physical.
The listing is sort of misleading, most people wouldn’t check the model number and assumed it’s the China model which supports dual PHYSICAL sim.
The Chinese iPhone does not support BAND 28 which is an issue for coverage in Australia.
Also no warranty from Apple if anything goes wrong.
There was a lengthy forum post about this a while back with some pretty good info about why it’s not worth buying a dual sim model if u plan to use in Australia.
I’m sure you can find it if you look for it. (I’m replying on mobile and cbf)Apple have global warranty on iPhones (speaking as someone who had an AU model replaced in the USA).
In fact i've had 2 replaced like that, at two different Apple stores in Los Angeles (years apart too).
They have service spares of all models at most Apple stores, so they replaced like-for-like (so I got an AU model, even though it wasn't for sale in the USA).
This is true that iPhones only have a 1-year global warranty. However, iPhones purchased in Australia have effectively a 2+ year warranty thanks to Australian Consumer Law as long as any warranty service takes place in Australia.
Source: I used to work for AppleCare and on some occasions I was able to even create exceptions and organize warranty repairs/replacements for devices older than 2 years as long as the customer chucked a bit of fuss and mentioned consumer law :)
OP did mention he wants dual-sim but having effectively almost 3 years warranty is pretty good.
I have literally had Apple refuse warranty cause it wasn’t an Australian model.
And I had a watch they couldn’t get “parts” for as the part numbers were different in each countries modelWarranty is not global on iPhones
It is global on Mac I believer though. The do warranty for none Australian model phone, but the replacement will be an Australian model, so the dual physical sim model will ended up a sim+esim.
@Richardc: They won’t swap it in Australia.
It’s this reason that if for example you buy an imported iPhone from Kogan it’s Kogan who does the warranty not Apple.
nah, many here can live without band 28. its good to have but not necessary, of course unless you are in the rural area where other bands are less. im talking about normal average people live in like 50kms from cbd maybe.
I just bought an Oppo A73 - with dual SIM slots and great reviews :) AND on special at Big W for $219 - even cheaper with 5% off egift cards… :) Made for Australia and 2 year warranty
