Case of Hoegaarden for $40.99 if you use the coupon from the Penfolds deal inclusive of shipping. Otherwise its $49.99 + $6 which is still a great deal I think.

Hoegaarden Beer (24 x 330ml)

    Fantastic price for a good beer. The code makes it even better (not sure there is much profit for the retailer at that price. So bought a case. Also comparable to UK supermarket prices, which are as cheap as it gets. 24 bottles from Tesco costs about $36 (23gbp) on sale.

    Just got back from Belgium, where you can buy this for 5 euro for a 6 pack in the supermarkets. illustrates how much we are bent over in this country for decent beer, well any beer really. Good deal by the way.

      I got a message from my old boss whom lives in the US telling me he was chilling up some James Boag; I asked him how many he got, and he stated 6 as they were too pricey. I asked him how much, and he said 9 bucks a six. I told him that is cheaper than what we can get them locally at. Crazy.

      Geez they harshed you there power. Tough to compare the two; they're just so completely different. Hoegaarden (an ale?) is lighter, fruitier and sharper in taste. Crown, on the other hand is darker with the bitterness typical of Australian lagers.

      Drop into a Belgian/Bavarian Bier Cafe or similar and try a schooner, if you're unsure.

      Hope you enjoy as much as I do.

    Awesome price! Gonna get a case now!! PS anyone tried Furstenberg? It's a German beer, goes for heaps cheap (approx $40 a case not on special) but to me it's on par with Hoegaarden for taste, well I think anyway.. Havn't had them side by side

    I tried to purchase beer this morning but my password did not work :(
    I tried resetting it but it took for an email to come through so long that I had to leave. When I got back the code expired.
    ps my first neg since I joined ozbargain. I can withdraw it if the rep will sell me beer at $40.99.

        Warehouse is mixing the 16 bottle wine mix as we speak so ordering now will mean your wine & beer are on their merry way on Monday.

        We lit a proverbial rocket so our couriers are getting orders to metro Sydney and Melbourne in about 3 working days - Monday despatch most likely means on your doorstep on Wednesday. :)
