Best Shaver for Men's Pubic Hair?

Hi all, not afraid to say it, but I do shave my pubic hair :)

Since shave shop got sale now, any idea which is the best one to use in shower?

Thanks!

P/S I'm not looking to shave it bald, just trimmed down hehe, so one with comb accessories would be good.

Is this https://www.shavershop.com.au/braun/male-grooming-kit-8-in-o… any good?

UPDATE: Bought the Remington one in the end as suggested. It's been great. Thanks all!

    Nair…

    • don't use nair lol, or at least nair normal. used it on thigh hair and it never grew back…. get the sensitive one.

      • +4

        and it never grew back

        Problem?

    • +2

Surely Nads would be more apt.

      • Be mindful of the burning sensation and FFS don't jump into the shower to wash it off. It makes it worse!

@Scrooge McDuck: where did it say he was undertaking these desperate measure for a woman?

            • @ozboygsl: I'm sure he's just doing it for the extra definition in his lower lower abdominals.

Haha I love how this is reported for title/description.

    Knife

    • +1

Put down the knife and back away… lol

  • I go for the disposables, safer and easier. Just got qualms about an electrical shaver around the region that refuses to give up on a pubic hair and goes all hardcore.

I also find shampoo conditioner a perfect "shaving cream" for that region.

    • Been doing that, just thought electric might be easier?

    • What's wrong with regular shaving cream?

      • Conditioner is more viscous and helps with the post shave moisturizing. Also helps make the stubble more pliable to reduce any chances of ingrown hairs.

        • "post shave moisturising"

          That's a new one!

No need shaver. Wax it my friend

    • +1

Definitely not biggest fan on wax

      • Back, sack and crack.

        • +1

Cos after you wax you’ll need to close the crack and put the sack back

        Ever tried laser hair removal?

Save time and money by not bothering. Also the chance of an ozbargainer getting laid is extremely low.

      Or just you :P

Btw I see there is a new Windows phone coming out.

      • Is this the thing Panos Panay talked about or is there actually something coming out?

    • +2

      Not true.

What happens to those 100+ votes comdoms deals posted here ?

    • +2

Unfortunately my partner very "fur" phobia, it's either I do that, or no "that" lol.. I know what I'll do :)

      • +5

Your partner could possibly save on dental floss if you left it as-is.

    • +2

what chick wouldn't want to go a date with a Ozbarganier? When he whips his entertainment book to pay and starts a scene lol.

      • +2

My partner finds that sexily smart :P

      • +3

What makes you think the OP's partner is a chick?

        • Never said that :P

      • +1

have to be a bloody supermodel to use one of the entertainment book vouchers on.
for a 1st food date they can settle with a dominos pizza deal. maybe going out for a restaurant meal on the 3rd date (and then I would use one of the entertainment book vouchers).

and they need to pay for some of the dates too.

Alternatively, order the most expensive courses on the menu, ask to go to the little boys room, then run away to a sleazy bar and go home with the hottest drunk chick at kickout time.

          Rinse and repeat.

      • +1

Any chick that doesn't want to go on a Dimmi 50% off deal isn't worth splitting the bill with.

I also save money on condoms: I don't need prophylactics, I just use my personality.

    • Is that you Jack?

Whipper snipper should do the job!

Wahl is a great brand - they have lots of options from cheap to over $100

  • Mach 3 Sensitive does the trick. Make sure to use conditioner first to soften the area to avoid irritation.

  • +3

In all seriousness, please recommend one model so I can get proper root asap LOL

    • +8

To get the root, epilating is the only way to go.

      • I don't think he's referring to that root…

        • Lol yea

    • The Gilette disposals. You better hurry before the shops close.

    • so I can get proper root

Care to explain what kind of root you are getting at the moment.

      • That'd be inappropriate for all the kids here haha

    • In all seriousness, please recommend one model so I can get proper root asap LOL

I've heard models are very expensive unless you find one on a student visa who charges in 5 min blocks.

      • Don't think I could afford even 5 min lol

  • +1

Philips Body Groomer series will do the job.

    • Like Philips brand but don't think they got comb, as I don't wanna shave the part bald if you know what I mean

      • What's wrong with silky smooth?

        • Let's just say I like it little bit rough but not too much.. :)

      • They provide a comb with the base model. I guess it is 3 mm. This model is one of the safest around those areas, even if you plan for a silky smooth finish. More expensive models will have length adjustments.

  • Use Nair, or Nads hair removal cream and ensure it’s specifically sensitive and okay for the perineal and genitals, just don’t put too much around the more sensitive areas of your genitals, and make sure to follow the time line specific by the manufacturer, trust me you don’t want to get even a mild chemical burn on your scrotum, as it is excruciatingly painful, and you’ll be bed ridden until the irritation subsides.

Once you’ve washed off the cream, you can use one of the cheaper AAA powered shaver/razor combos (I think Gillette) which has a hair length guide on the shaver to tidy things up.

It would very much be best to do this prior to going out or sex as you want to give your skin time to heal before coming into contact with other people’s genitals (STI) and also to ensure you can move around comfortably as your skin won’t be used to being so raw.

Best of luck and if in doubt don’t use hair removal cream, just trim with the shaver/razor.

    Edit - not Gillette, it’s this https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/436473/?is…

    • Too much work eh..

    https://www.shavershop.com.au/remington/man-trim-body-groome…

It's waterproof for use in the shower and washing out the blades. About $45, 10% off in store or 20% off using the PSHAVE20 code should end up $36, but you'll be paying $10 delivery.

    • Looks really good but reviews said the plastic attachment breaks easily..unsure now

      • I've had mine for a year and one of the combs broke only just now. Unless you are just doing a trim and want a #2 crew cut down there, you just use the blades directly. It comes with a 2mm, 4mm and 6mm comb. The combs click on the shaver over the blades, it seems a tiny bit tight to me but that's probably a good thing. Not sure what it is (maybe dirt build up in the little locating/locking tab moulding) seems to cause a bit of strain on the comb, flexing it a bit beyond its normal shape. Mine snapped cleanly in two right down the middle while it was sitting on the bathroom counter waiting for me to finish brushing my teeth. Remington do make a replacement for US$2, but they won't ship them and they aren't available at Remington Australia. I was advised to return the whole thing to the Shaver Shop and they gave me a whole new one, no fuss.

Despite this, I would still recommend it highly.

i use a philips one blade in the shower, works extremely well and id definitely recommend it.

This is pretty good value eh… I suppose it's not showerproof?

    • +1

This one is the one you want as it claims to work under the shower according to this pic.

I had a very similar one years ago albeit cheaper build quality and it worked well.

      • Thanks, bought cheapie one first.. Maybe next time

  • OP - Pictures or we don't believe you. Oh, what am I saying !!!!!

    • Or before and after? You can pixellate the naughty bits!!

This is a PSA for all you clueless creepy wanks: STOP! Just f****** stop! NEVER shave your pubic hair. It's disgusting and creepy, genitals need pubic hair. Children don't have pubic hair, adults do, if you shave your pubic hair you're trying to look like a child and that's just creepy, looks wrong and gross, and is just sick. It looks even worse than that when it starts growing back as stubble too. Wherever any of you got this stupid stupid idea, just forget it, I certainly would never do anything sexual with someone who shaves.

As for the OP: Ok, you've clarified that you really just want to trim, that's good, but don't go overboard you need to keep at least 1cm of length. Literally any hair/beard clipper/trimmer will work, I've had a cheap Phillips for 6 years now going strong.

    • You may be over-thinking this.

    • You aren't watching enough modern porn, anything made since the '80s.

    • 1cm probably too short still, might be too spikey, usually around 4cm,mine can go up to 5-8 easily 😂

    • Failed to factor in climate change in rant.

  • I use the same ones I use for my face/neck. They are Wilkinson brand disposables. I got a huge amount of them from a clearance store about two years ago, packs of 10 razors for 10c a pack! Will last me for years. They are great and work perfectly "downstairs" also.

One good tip is to have an erection to stretch out the skin, really makes it a lot easier and is time-saving.

    • Erection when you have a blade against it..hmmm

  • waxing is good, laser is good but expensive. Shaving is fine but grows back quickly and can irritate.

Spend a shedload on a laser treatment course and get it gone forever…

    • But I still want "some" there..

  • I use this for my bushes

But by the sounds of it you may be better off spending an extra $20 and getting this one for your bush
