The price tag graphic appears to be that of the annual back to school catalogue which usually comes out shortly after Christmas

I wonder if they do this for Apple products - I was heading to officeworks to get the $407 32gb but I’d rather this one.
I ended up getting TGG down to $540 and they confirmed I can claim the extra on Thursday - apparently you can do it all online now.

I just took this to TGG and they wouldn’t match it today but gave it to me for $540 and said I could claim the price guarantee on Thursday! Yay!!

@41202: Well, you could ask. That’s all I did - I just took in the OW price and asked if they’d do it because it would be cheaper for them than the 120% difference price beat. Apparently the $540 was the lowest they could go. I was happy to pay it as I wanted it for Xmas and it reduced the risk of paying $600 and then not getting the price guarantee honoured. Plus, apparently it’s store credit now, which I’m not a fan of. I’d say they’d easily dodge the price guarantee given the next comment - is out of stock etc

I also called and the guy couldn’t tell me any details/info on next shipment of stock and just said all sold out due to xmas.
Does anyone know if other stores will price match with just the catalogue as proof?I went into local OW this morning, no stock but placed a click and collect order at the counter and paid. Due for pickup tomorrow.
Before I did this, I took the OW catalogue with the advertised $519 into Myer. They only had one 32GB wifi+cellular ipad in stock, however they said they could order a 128GB for me. I showed the catalogue and asked if they could match the $519 (I'd prefer Myer over OW to get MyerOne points), and after checking on the computer they said no as $519 is below their cost price.
Which store did you go into? I will try go there myself and do click/collect, as I couldn’t do an online or over the phone order this morning but maybe I can try instore - I’m in qld, seems that all qld stores are out now :(

FYI, just ordered a gold one online. Estimate delivery is 15 Jan. Jump online before they sell out again!
There is also that option to get the other retailers to price match now that it is available online
Harvey Norman will only reduce to $570, as its below their buying price. Myer can only do $569 same reason.
If you go through the fine prints of the catalogue, it should mention when it starts/ends.
