Holiday season is here and we get the age old question from gamers about the best value headphones to buy. A really underrated headphone. You're getting an over ear design, a closed/open hybrid styled can, breathable cups, and they're easy to drive. They're like an over ear set of Koss Porta Pros.

They don't offer a microphone. Might me a dealbreaker. Can be remedied by buying these: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/stadium/stadium-usbmic1-usb-studio…
I'd say the next worthwhile upgrade from the UR40 would be the Fidelios.

  If you're fine with on-ear, go with Massdrop's version of the Koss Porta Pro. It has an inline mic.

      I've been buying Koss headphones since the 80s and enjoy their sound, but damn if they aren't some of the ugliest headphones in existence
