  • I bought 12 pack on costco and it costs me $10.5, if you want to buy one of this, you'd better check it.

    • Costco is yet to open in Perth, WA

      • Even when it does, it's at Perth airport. Quite the drive for me.

So is English your fourth languge or fifth language?

  • +2

It's selling $4 for 4x bottles at Coles now. Not sure if it is just Perth metro. Link example:

    • Same price in the Tas Metro catalogue. It used to pop up at this price quite a bit but now the sales are more likely to be $4.40. I was very happy to see it at $4 when I looked through this week's catalogue.

  • I never tried this before. Is it actually beer?

    • +1

      No.

        • +1

          But it is tasty.

    • +1

      non alcoholic

    • +1

Technically no (no hops, malt), but they ferment the yeast so the process has similarities with that of beermaking. All ginger beer made properly like this would be slightly alcoholic, but most including this fall into the <0.5% ABV non-alcoholic category.

  • The diet is still 4.5g of sugar

    • +1

If you don't want a lot of a sugar, than Ginger beer is probably not for you.

      • Saxby's Diet Ginger Beer is pretty dang good and is only 0.25g of sugar

        • Saxby's definitely not as good.

    • Yeah the diet one has cane sugar in it… on top of the ginger. Guess they couldn't get the flavour they wanted with just the artificial sweeteners. It is better than 40g of sugar though.

      • +1

The 4.5g sugar is probably the amount from the yeast fermentation… wouldn't happen with sweetener.

    • What possible problem could a little sugar in a few bottles over christmas do to hurt someone, or is that a warning for diabetics?

      • Warning for diabetics, I'm a type 1 and miss my ginger beer :(

  • Theres also Bundaberg Guava and Lemonade 12 x 375mL for $12

    • The whole range of four packs are $4 at Coles this week.

      • Appears as $4.40 for me.

  • +1

    $10.50/10 pack @ Dan's - https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_203552/bundaberg-br…

They had the spiced one in stock as well, getting harder to find..

  • Bugger. Missed out.

    • +1

Just pop in to Coles for the $4 four packs.

  • Is there a noticeable taste difference between the diet and non diet versions of the ginger beer?

    • +1

If you have them back to back certainly, but under normal circumstances probably not.

  • Stopped drinking Bundy ginger beer when they stopped brewing in the bottle >10yrs ago.
