Hey guys and gals. New here and because I've just moved temporarily (about 6 months) into a place with poor wired internetz been looking at 4g.
So trying to work out how I can make these prepaid discount ($5 for $40 etc) from Optus, Telstra, Kogan etc work for me.
I have a dual SIM phone and a mobile 4G router.
Is it just as simple as purchasing the discount sim packs when they become available, register them, use up the data for the month, discard the old SIM and then activate the next valid discount prepaid sim (from whatever provider) ?
Do I have to contact the Telco to cancel the "expired" SIM?
Does this cause issues as you build up accounts with a particular Telco?
Do I have to use discrete emails for each registration?
I need to provide id which is normally my driver's license. Does this cause a problem using the same ID multiple times with the same Telco?
Enlighten me please oh gurus….
Since you got a dual sim phone, its easy as pie. Just buy and register the sim, then throw it away when you are done. No need to worry about stacking up too many accounts or whatever. Good thing is, you dont have to worry about porting your number, as long as you keep one sim for your number and just pump and dump the second for the data. Only thing is, remember to disable auto recharge whenever you sign up for a new sim.
