4k Monitor for Recommendation for Video and Photo Editing

Hi, Looking for some suggestions on getting a 4k Monitor 32inch.

I edit on Final Cut pro and looking to upgrade from a 7 year old Samsung monitor.

I'll be using the monitor for both video and photo editing (light room).

Any recommendations for a monitor around $1K?

Your budget is very high, I'm jealous.

Having said that, I recommend you just getting the sharpest and most value for money monitor since it is only for editing. I know a lot of people dislike Apple here, but I find their screens are much 'nicer looking' and there is a reason why design people choose Apple, the screens are solid, but they do come at a price.

Edit: a few options here, I'd hold off for Boxing Day sales

Is your source material in 4k?

If it's for serious work, then you would need a color correct monitor. Like a dell ultrasharp with permier color.
