A nice little freebie for those that have the base game.
We wanted to give you a little something back. That’s why all Battlefield V players who login to the game between December 18, 2018 and January 3, 2019 will have the Ribeyrolles 1918 assault rifle and M1897 shotgun added to their arsenals. Simply log in to Battlefield V during this period and the Assault class and Support class weapons will be available to equip via the Company menu.
What mode u r playing. Try going advanced search, look for Australian servers and join.
There are around 23 servers for Au region and I hope dice will add more.
Still doesn't work when there is an Available slot, I usually can't join due to my Latency doesn't meet the Requirement error. I'm on NBN fixed wireless 50mbs with ping usually 50ms. So I have to join the sometimes full slotted one and queue to join usually work 90% of the time.
Are you on AussieBB or another provider that uses CGNAT?
There is a problem with the game which causes those behind such a CGNAT wall to have it fail. Dice have said they're fixing it.
Meanwhile if you're on AussieBB, call them up and ask them to be moved off CGNAT.
If we're talking about servers now, am I wrong in thinking that there's really only 'Breakthrough' Australia servers on PS4 and no other mode? I haven't played in weeks now but that's all I kept seeing on the advanced search when I was playing. It was partly why I stopped playing. I enjoy Breakthrough but it gets repetitive when it's all you play - there's none of the wild variety of Conquest. But the handful of times I tried to load a Conquest game, it took several minutes of waiting and I somehow ended up in an Australian server with about 20 others.
Nope - heaps of different modes on my end. At least 25-30 servers that I can see. Been playing most nights since launch.
@blergmonkeys: EDIT: I fixed it! I now see 26 servers with all different modes. I followed Kookabanus's directions down below and it fixed it. It's crazy - I'd tried clicking off everything but Breakthrough before, I'd try different countries, I'd tried ticking everything and something ticking all but one. And every time I just kept seeing Breakthrough servers. I just eventually figured that's all there was for Australia and that that's why people were complaining about servers, heh.
But anyway, solving this problem has come too late for me. I usually play BF games for a very long time but this bug, making me playing Breakthrough again and again and again, has killed my interest in playing any more. Maybe months from now I'll feel different.
I tend to only get 2-3 servers using advanced search on xb1.
I am playing on PC, so dont know about xbox servers. Make sure you have selected all slots in filters to show all server irrespective of free slots.
I was having this issue with the advanced search, it was as if there was a filter on when I didn't have any selected.
Try creating a custom filter and applying it. Then delete the custom filter so there are none and it should revert back to the default.
After I did this I started seeing all the available servers, around 25-30 in all modes.
@Kookabanus: Thanks! This solved it for me. I don't know what I did exactly but I tried creating, saving, editing and resetting some custom filters and finally something clicked and it worked. I went from showing 6 Australian server to showing 26.
My problem before was that I was just seeing 'Breakthrough' and nothing else. I could click to show just 'Conquest' and I'd see 0 results. Same with everything else. And I tried changing multiple filters and nothing was solving it. I'd tried so many different settings that I eventually just concluded that it was intentional and that they were really eager to push 'Breakthrough' as the mode to play.
And it drove me insane playing that mode, I tell you. It's fun at first but after a while it's like it's no longer multiplayer - instead it felt like I was playing the same section of Tomb Raider 500 times.
It's BF1 all over again, and EA seem unwilling to fix the connection issues. Their advice gets you nowhere.
BF4 doesn't have the connection issue so I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed.
How much do they normally cost?
$2,300 each I heard. They're hard to find in gun shops.

But I only use sniper rifles … :( and annoyingly only 3 of them are any good (I havnt unlocked the last sniper yet)
