  Aldi are doing one in their sale next week:

  No idea if its light enough for you, but it's only $20. Mind it's not as large as expect.

  Reject Shop also do whiteboards on occasion, with their own stands (so you don't need to hang it). Means its easy to flip over so you can use the other side. Usually ~$40.

    Thanks sane - Aldi is my regular supermarket - now, if I could just get my 17 year old to be patient, & I can't get one of Ashlea's $9 Reject Shop ones - that might be the one for us.

        You got it right! he marched out & got one from Officeworks yesterday afternoon (to be fair he had asked me a couple of days before I posted, my bad as they say).
