hi , tried to get on chat line with ATO in regards to LISA (low income super thingy) and could not speak to anyone—-only robot.
it seems they only have chat line with small business——is this a recent change?

I don't know what people are talking about here. The number is 13 28 61 and is available 8am to 6pm AEDT today, tomorrow and the day after New Years Day (before resuming normal Mon-Fri operation).
Except for one tool (who disputed I owned a business then hung-up on me), I've always found the service of the ATO to be pretty amazing. MyGov, or any service associated with the Department of Human Services, I would try my best possible to avoid.
I call at least once a year.
But I do now know what the OP is talking about. You've picked the self-help number

hi thanks for your replies , what i should have mentioned is i do not wish to phone the ATO , i wish to type on chat line that was available a few months ago and worked great , was able to link the page i was on with the doodle at the other end , much better results than over the phone.
my original question should have been ,"has ATO stopped typed chat line to individuals in the last few months"?

myTax and Small Business can use Live Chat. Perhaps try calling them? I have previously for advice and they've been good.
