How much should I be able to get a new Fitness First Platinum membership discounted down to??? I've heard of people getting it as low as $27, even $20 per fortnight.
Can anyone enlighten me with how much you managed to get yours for, or how you managed to bargain it down?

I'd never use fitness first, harassing people over the phone is enough for me to stay well clear of them.
I guess it depends on whether you're willing to change disguises every week and go under different aliases.
there are plenty of gyms with equipment as good as fitness first and with better layout. they are about $30 a fortnight but no contract period. fitness first will take you for an arm and a leg if you want to drop earlier and even if you drop after the contract they, they make you come in for an 'interview' first. Your CC is also unable to stop the payment to them for some reason until they allow it. it's BS. Alot of swearing also helps as long as your contract is expired.
in brisbane, try jetts (24 hour fitness), healthworks in west end and i know there are at least 4 more around the city.
