Hi guys
I don't know much about cheaper phones.
Everything I know about phones is just via YouTube tech reviews such as Mkbhd etc. They have a tendency not to cover cheaper/less tech-y phones.
My mum has never owned a phone in her life. Her birthday is coming up and I think I want to get her one.
My minimum requirements are:
- smart phone
- Bluetooth
- preferably NFC (I might put a tag in her car to auto toggle Bluetooth)
- can easily run maps and Spotify (together) without too much hassle
- battery life isn't important
- small-medium sized phone
- Not concerned about brand/company
I was hoping to get something basic under $100. Not sure if this is achievable.
Any thoughts on the Half Price Woolies phones?
Also would love a recommendation on phone plans: Around 5gb per month. Hoping for $10-$15 per month
Thanks!
If you find a phone with NFC for less than $100, let me know because I'd be interested in getting a few.
Otherwise, the Telstra Nokia 2.1 is pretty decent for the money. I've got one, and I've been really impressed by the battery life on it. Despite its 1gb ram, its pretty zippy. It has the bonus of a free google home too.
Oldies like the bigger screens, because they're easier to hold and easier to see, and for women the size isn't a problem because it goes in a purse.
