Walked around Kmart in Burwood Vic looking for a new lamp, but saw some good homeware bargains (imho anyway)

Homemaker Aura 16pc dinner set for $10 includes;

4 x mug
4 x small plate
4 x dinner plate
4 x bowl

these dinner sets are microwave and dishwasher safe

there were other dinner sets with slight variations and different designs for $15 as well

also found some ice cream bowls from Life With Gifts

x 4 in a light blue colour for just $5

the same product from homemaker in a horrible bright red was $6 so you get a pleasant colour and $1 off lol

there werent too many of the ice cream sets left but there were plenty of dinnet sets (these seemed to be the choice picks), so if your after some cheap homewares its definately worth a look around your local Kmart and see what they might have

    Man they must have been reduced just today. I was at Burwood Kmart last night and didn't see these. :(

    Beware of this set …I recently had a "dishwasher safe" Homemaker plate explode in the Microwave …bits of porcelain everywhere…

    Make sure you open up the box and check you are happy with the quality. I'm sure I have felt heavier paper plates.

      well dave, i can lift a pallet on my own at work, and i tried to open a box myself to have a look at the quality, and i didnt get to see much as each set is sealed again in a box inside, but i had trouble for a few seconds looking for a place to rest the box because it was heavy

        Yep. These are different than the plain white bigger sets. Ie, the sets that also come with cutlery or 'kitchen essentials'. They ARE crappy and light weight. The other ones are great.

    Last week at David Jones Sydney Market St, a sale was on for Dinner sets, quality looks good, and price was very attractive, but i didnt look at all the details, low $ pricing on individual plates heavily reduced, and some other bargains available in homeware and cookware.

    These sets at KMart have been at this price for at least a month and some even reduced to $7.
