[NSW] Dairy Milk with CC's Original or Kettle Sea Salt - 190g Bars $0.50 @ Coles (Macquarie Park)

240

Bars marked at $5 on the shelf but scanning at 50 cents as they were marked as last week. Both taste like Cadburys chocolate with a bit more crunch. Not sure if this is national.

Saw them for $1 clearance at my local Coles (Central Coast).

Same at my local coles. The chip bits just get stuck in your teeth, and the chips don't really add any flavour.

What goes well with chocolate? POTATO CHIPS! Genius!

    • +2

Have you tried them? Neither really taste anything like the chips other than some crunch.

It's the bit of salt that is the only real addition, in the vein of the modern salted caramel obsession. Not bad, but not necessary.

If you're a fan of salt + chocolate, I have discovered the absolute king of desserts. Coles salted caramel profiteroles. God tier. Otherworldly. Like none before them.

          • @Hinee: I may give those a try.

OP was "brave" by taking it to checkout to find out $0.50 although the shelf showed "$5".

  • Good find OP.

    • How many did you buy, PJC?

      • Too far for me, but I'll check locally soon.

  • God damn it, literally bought on Friday at same store for $1.50!

Also, it's terribly salty. Wouldn't get it again for free.

      • Eh, I brought 28 for $1 each. Presents for the next few years sorted :)

        • Well, for people you dislike, anyway.

        • Well done. Give them to kids to make sure they get their 8 glasses a day.

Look some people love salt, but I'm not one of them.
