Can these work with any amp? Is it a case of wireing a sender into the amp out and it pairs to the sub automatically? Do such things exist?

  As far as I know this will only work with the Samsung one-body soundbars - it uses a specific sender that uses a specific plug at the back of the soundbar. So whilst it's theoretically possible to make it work with a different amp, it's not worth the investment of energy trying, just buy a dedicated sub and hide the wiring.
