Techfast PC Summoning Thread and Discussion 2018

Status Edit* Received the PC. No critical issues.

So while I understand it's Christmas and they've been swamped by recent orders I'm also getting tired of checking Star Track to see if they've sent my order yet. The idea for this thread is you post what you ordered, when you ordered it, whether you've been assigned a tracking number yet and if you got your PC yet. This way maybe we can get some idea of how long we'll be waiting.

Also might be informative for future techfast deals if when you get your PC you updated your forum post with what brand of components you got as well as what condition the PC arrived in.

PC Components

  • CPU: Ryzen 2600
  • GPU: MSI Duke RTX 2080
  • Motherboard: Asus Prime A320M-K
  • RAM: Team group 1x8 2400
  • SSD: Allied 120GB
  • PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 850W 80+ Gold (bought an upgrade with the same 15% off discount code, 850W is a bit overkill but $169 seems like a good price this higher tier PSU. In a couple of years I may but a new MOBO and overclock the CPU so having the extra power is nice)
  • Case: Leaper PRO RGB Case

Condition of PC / Review

I spent some time looking around the internals but I haven't actually pulled anything apart as I don't want to risk the warranty unnecessarily. Everything arrived undamaged (although star track just left the PC on my front door without knocking/signing which is a bit shitty). Cable management is fine, better than I could do but not necessarily super clean / impressive mostly due to limitations in the cabling itself. Unlike some of the other experiences posted here I saw no issue with the installation of components, everything is where it should be and the GPU has a support plate too so there seems to be minimal flex despite how fat it is. They also left some stiff foam inside the case to provide further support to the GPU during shipping so it seems like everything arrived in perfect condition.

Overall the case looks great and is extremely light and has thumbscrews to remove the side panels. I'll post some pictures a bit later but the combination of RGB from the case, the MSI Duke GPU and the RGB PSU looks amazing at least by my usually more reserved standards. A minor annoyance is the glass side panel (it's actual heavy glass) has nothing to support it when you're screwing in the thumbscrews so you have to awkwardly hold it in place till you're done. The bits of the glass panel where the screws go in also look a bit rough but this is only noticeable when the panel is off as usually the thumbscrews cover this up. Consequently when you're opening up the case it feels like the glass side panel was some kind of retrofit that wasn't part of the original design. This isn't really a big problem in my opinion as you usually don't need to open the case except for occasional cleaning.

—————Actual issues that I care about

  • I have no idea where to install any additional HDD/SSD in a way that isn't dodgy. I can see some holes that may take screws but I'll report back and see how I go. Compared to more expensive cases this is a bit of a let down however honestly given what I paid I have no issue with duct taping my SSD in place lol.
  • There's what seems to be a few small patches of rust or red paint stuck in a corner within the case (overall about 1cm square in size) which is disappointing however it appears to be only cosmetic in extent and is only visible if you put your head inside the case.
  • Thirdly due to the small size of the A-320m-k motherboard you can't access any of the smaller PCI slots as the RTX 2080 is phat AF. This isn't a really a fault of Techfast but it is a flaw in the build itself that people should keep in mind.
  • Finally they haven't sent me my BFV code yet but I've sent a message and I'm sure they'll be in touch soon.

—————Value of techfast vs self-build

I got the R5 2600 RTX 2080 + BFV package with 850W PSU upgrade for a total price of $1528.

  • MSI Duke RTX 2080 - Staticice cheapest price is $1329
  • Ryzen 5 2600 - Best recent ozbargain deal was $200
  • Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 850W RGB PSU 80+ Gold - Cheapest staticice price is $175
  • Battlefield V for PC - $49

So that's $1753 worth of parts/game for $1528 not taking into account labour, shipping and the other (admittedly cheap) parts.

If I'd done a self-build I'd have been able to get a cheaper PSU of the same quality in the 550-750W range, better quality RAM and also a better motherboard that let me overclock the CPU. So this approach is definitely not without its flaws. However I believe there was still a lot of great value here especially for those who are OK to have some compromises in their rig. Overall with just the price of the GPU and CPU I'm breaking even so even if I were to build a whole new PC and re-use those components it was still an OK deal.

—————Conclusion

Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase especially since I got the Duke GPU. I'll write back and report how the PC holds up long term but I've got a lot of faith in the Toughpower 850W PSU, so as long as Star Track didn't break it somehow it should be fine.

  • Thanks!

  • Great!!

  • Why are most of the components TBA? They are probably going to add the cheapest parts available.

Better to do some research and build your own.

    • CPU - ryzen 3 2200g
      CPU fan - stock
      MoBo - ASUS Prime A-320M-E
      RAM - team group 1x8 2400
      Storage - 120gb SSD, allied
Graphics card - ASUS ROG STRIX RX 570
Case - Leaper PRO RGB Case
      Power Supply - Allied 550w.
OS - Windows (unactivated as of now)

Only parts there I'd call cheap are the case, SSD and power supply.

Case works fine. Has a usb 3.0 port in the front as well. Vents look good enough. Case fans are meh though (one's corsair branded, mind)

SSD - Haven't benchmarked but it works more then fine. Unlikely it'll do worse then a cheap Kingston drive.

PSU - Will never understand why companies cheap out on these…will be fine for the warranty period, but get that out after/before you'll take a loss.

Unless you meant the parts themselves (eg a320 board). In which case those people shouldn't buy these in the first place.

Well, unless you're grabbing one of the PCs that more or less just cost the price of the GPU. In that case just throw another/a cheap APU in and voila, second PC for a sibling/friend/sale.

Review: PC booted with no problems, inside everything was cable managed and no wires were out of place. Just one small flaw, which was the graphic card was slightly bent on the PCB however can be barely noticed when sitting inside the case. I have been using the Allied power supply and have noticed no problems, however will replace this early next year. My PC also came with a 240gb SSD instead of the advertised 120gb, lucky me.

    • As i have said in a previous post, mine also came this week and i have had no issues so far, maximum temperature i have reached in GPU was 74 according to CPUID HWMonitor, and thats gaming after several hours. Do note that i got the allied sealed cooling system so if that made a difference then so be it. My computer runs very cool and i am very happy with my purchase. I do hear some noise from i suspect the liquid cooler from time to time which is kind of like a sound with liquid running through which i suspect is just air bubbles in the pipe itself. Upon writing this i heard it now and yeh its some sort of liquid sound that i am not sure of. I hope everything is fine with it! Either way as stated above my cables too were managed with great care.

So today I received my package, the Ryzen 2700 package with monitor, kB, mouse etc. Complete package and I requested it to come unassembled.

A few hiccups that I still need to resolve with Luke (rep) but will report back here. Also took some photos while unboxing, haven't touch the casing yet as I was busy.

    • When did you order it?

      • +1

22-Nov-2018 so it's 25 days give and take including weekends. I know … It did take awhile.

Luke who is the rep here was responsive if you message him regarding your order.

Will share photos of how it arrived, the contents (which includes the brand/ model vs what were advertised), the condition in which it arrived and a little bit of the hiccups that I encountered tomorrow when I open up the last package which is the casing itself.

    Order: Ryzen 7 2700 RTX 2080 8GB 480GB SSD 8GB DDR4 750W + 27" Monitor Gaming Bundle link
    Order Date: 22 November 2018
    Date Shipped: 14-Dec-2018
    Date Arrived: 17-Dec-2018

Bundle includes the following (some parts were confirmed before hand via messaging with either Luke or eBay messaging):
    - Ryzen 7 2700 with stock cooler
    - Casing - Mid tower (me thinks)
    - Galax twin fan RTX 2080 8GB
    - BFV
    - Either ASRock or ASUS A320 mobo
    - Thermaltake Litepower 750w
    - SSD 480gb
    - 8gb DDR4 ram
    - 1 x 120mm fan
    - Mouse, KB
    - 27" Curved 144hz monitor which was confirmed via eBay messaging link

** Specifically requested for bundle to come un-assembled as I wanted to cut short on wait times and also prevent any issues of poor assembly (as what some other buyers here have reported).
** Also specifically requested for itemised invoice/ receipt to show each and every part. Although Techfast is legalled obligated to provide warranties (whether the parts come bundled or un-assembled), REP seems to be saying if parts are unassembled, warranty to go direct to manufacturer. The law says otherwise but oh well. In view of REP's views, I needed the itemised invoice/ receipt in order to verify purchases and effect warranty.

    WHAT ACTUALLY TURNED UP

    CPU: Ryzen 7 2700 link
    GPU Brand/Model: Galax RTX2080 EX-1 click OC PCI-E 8GB GDDR6 256bit link
    Motherboard: ASRock A320M-HDV link
    RAM: G-Skill 8GB F4-2400C17S-8GNT link
SSD: Allied brand 480gb SSD sealded link
PSU: Thermaltake Litepower 750w sealed link
    Connector: One lonely connector link
Fan: 120mm Spectre Pro fans link
Monitor: 27" FLAT panel monitor with some quality issues

So BFV, KB and mouse did not turn up. Monitor was not the one I was promised. Invoice/ receipt was not what I expected (not itemised).

CONDITION OF PACKAGES WHEN ARRIVED Came in three packages; one for the monitor, one for the parts, one for the casing.

Casing was well packed. Nothing out of the extraordinary. Some of the tower photos are interior photo, rear view, top view with removable filter, bottom view. The approximate dimensions are 45cm in height, 19cm in width, 36cm depth. I do recommend asking the seller directly for the exact dimensions.

The carton that contains the valuable chipset etc are very well packed. Bottom of the carton is actually double boxed, not just double layered. Once the carton is opened, you would see layers of plastic foam pieces and underneath those layers are all the goodies.

So the issues were mainly some missing items and the monitor. Prior to this posting I have already reached out to Luke who is the REP from Techfast. Sent the PM at 8pm last night and Luke replied in less than an hour with all the remedies. So basically he would ship out the curved monitor (I get to keep the monitor with issues), the missing KB and mouse plus the BFV code (which he just did earlier as I was typing).

    CLOSING

For what the Galax RTX 2080 and the Ryzen chipset are worth, coupled with eBay's 10% discount, I personally think its amazing value for what you are getting. Bundle price is $2K. With 10% off, its down to $1.8K. Those two parts adds up to around $1.6K so its really an extra $200 for the rest of the parts which you can resell or build an additional cheap PC.

When it comes to wait time, given the value of the bundle and the amount of people here buying their systems and parts, I would be realistic on the expectations that it would arrive fast. I do suggest constantly keeping in touch with Luke, he is very responsive and does take ownership in getting on top of the issues. Mine issues were ironed out in less than an hour which is very good communication timeframe.

Would I buy again from them, yes for the crazy value and yes because I seldom see a REP being so on the ball when solving issues and providing order updates.

    • +2

I agree its crazy value for what you get indeed! PCCasegear starts their 2080 builds at 2999 price for their prebuilt systems and so this is great value!

    • Hi Luke

Just wondering how long it might take to build if we purchase 2080 or 1060 system tomorrow?

      thanks

      • +4

There'll be a short break for us, probably just weekends and public holidays, but stock deliveries will also slow right down. I'd say second week of January is realistic depending on the spec.

There's a chunky discount code starting tomorrow which I imagine will pop up on here, so a good chance to grab it.

      • Hoping there will be another 15% soon looking to buy Monitor.

  • Just curious to know if anyone knows where I'd mount a 2.5" SSD and/or extras I'd need for that (not sure what actually comes with SSDs)

RAM: 8GB OEM looking, G-Skill branded chips
    SSD: Allied 120GB
    PSU: AYWUN 700W
Case: Leaper Pro (as in the picture on ebay)
    Condition of PC / Review:

    Overall.. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…..

Look, its still a deal at $1300, but not by as much as you think. The only value parts are the Motherboard and CPU, maybe the ram.

    There were a few issues with the build I'll list them in of importance to me;

Assembly - LIKELY THE MOST IMPORTANT STANDOFF AND MOUNTING SCREW WAS NOT IN PLACE!
I cracked open the case, and standoff nearest the GPU had been mounted next to the motherboard, this left the gpu basically flailing in the breeze, especially considering this was shipped interstate it's a big problem. The motherboard was flexing quite a bit with almost no pressure, it booted and I have no intention of moving the pc again, so it should be ok. But I atleast Luke might see this and they can start QCing this.

The second issue is, I know why it wasn't in the right spot, I disassembled everything to move it and the threads of the standoff and in the case were stripped, I had to use pliers to pull it from where they had mounted it, and ended up bending the backplate of the case trying to install it in the correct position, now its just kinda free spinning in it's spot but at least slightly more secure.

Case - The case is pretty average, functionally, but it looks better than expected. it has like 1 and a half drive bays, with the SSD occupying the half bay which has alot of flex. It looks like maybe it could have come with some extra modular drive mounting but it's not included in the build.

The pcb for all the case functions is exposed just under one of the drive mounting bays, you could easily short this if you aren't careful, with drives and or wires.

PSU - The PSU looks unimpressive, I got upgraded to a 700w but there are so few connections it would be hard to draw 700W from it, slightly worrying was the 2-molex to 8 pin connector was wired to paralleled molex connectors, two molex to 8 pins should be connected to molex from separate supply lines from the psu as the max current rating of molex is under a third of an 8 pin, similar issue with the 6 pin to 8 pin conversion as 6 pin is half the supply rating of 8 pin.

The cables are also a little oversized or something, all the connections are really hard to remove, especially the 24 pin, it feels glued in, I'm honestly not sure how I'm going to remove it.

I will likely be replacing both case and PSU.

SSD - I ran the ssd in my main pc, and the performance was way below expected, even compared to an old 840 evo. This will probably go the way of the dodo as well, and I'll install a cheap M.2

Motherboard + CPU - Everything looks ok, but after the standoff issue, I think I'll pull the heatsink and check for thermal paste-yness and screw torque. This isn't techfast's fault but the documentation for the mobo is pretty lackluster, the case header doesn't even have a pinout in the user manual, and the writing on the board itself is tiny and hard to interpret.

GPU - I got switched to the MSI, looks good, jesus it's huge, I'll be swapping it to my main rig which is a raven, so vertically mounted motherboard / GPU, mounting this horizontal looks like a recipe for broken PCIE traces.

Overall it booted, it runs, there were issues, but it was cheap so yeah.. hmmm

    • +3

Just so you know, you won hugely GPU wise and got an MSI Rtx 2080 gaming trio with 3 fans! It is going for the price of 1499 RRP in places like PCCasegear. You should be happy with that fact alone and I wish I got that instead since it has 3 fans! Either way you got a great deal and an extra great deal cause of that! I myself haven't opened up my PC because I don't wanna risk damaging anything since I am not expereinced in that regard.

But I will have to when upgrading and so far my PC is running quite good. No issues in terms of booting, i got my new monitor yesterday and certainly saw an increase in Temperature since it was a Acer X34P as opposed when I was using an old one only 24 inches 1080p but I increased fan speed and its sitting under 80 degrees Celsius mostly.

The only worry I have at the moment is my PSU seems to be making a noise after I turn off an high intensive game but for a short while only. Also the tempered glass is heating up alot near the GPU area while gaming but quickly cools down when I turn off the game. Well this is a long post and I think I have said enough. I am sorry for yours not having the quality control mine seemed to have in terms of build as far as I know.

    • +2

I'd like to add, I think for someone like firsttimeuser7 here who isn't going to be digging into the guts of it and wants a solid gaming rig this would be my go to recommendation at the moment.

Techfast communication is quick and straight forward both on here and ebay, and I think that is a key reason.

Might need some tweeks like another storage drive, some more RAM but at the price point, solid specs.

My only concern would be the PSU, only because if it goes in a bad way, it's going to take alot with it and the one in my build had very little recent documentation. Again though it's something that can be swapped out for not that much money, but a PSU swap is a bit trickier for the uneducated.

      • +1

Also worth noting that when combined with an ebay discount code the cost of having techfast add a better PSU via their upgrade options actually isn't too bad and is definitely worth considering.

The only issue that I think they should work on is the 750W PSU upgrade specifies you get either an Allied or thermaltake PSU. Spending extra on an upgrade just to get another Allied PSU defeats the whole purpose of upgrading lol.

Personally I went with the 80+ Gold 850W PSU upgrade from techfast so I could easily keep warranty and have the peace of mind that comes with a high quality PSU. It was guaranteed to be a thermaltake toughpower grand 850W PSU, however I was surprised that they gave me the RGB edition. I paid $169 dollars for that upgrade and received a PSU which retails for $175.

        • +1

That's prety good, thermaltake are solid PSU's. It wasn't until I first saw the aywun PSU that I remembered how bad they could be, after living with a fully modular 1200W cooler master for the last 5 years, and through various component upgrades, I've grown complacent. I think you made the right choice, a good psu even if it's too much makes upgrading easy. Though now with SLI basically dead I don't think I'll ever need 1200W again, 850 is probably a good number.

I also realised today that there is not inbuilt wifi on the motherboard. off to find a usb 802.11/ac adapter

  • Today my computer beeped then powered down, then i smelt an electrical smell. I've emailed for support.

    • +1

Most likely PSU related. PM Luketechfast and tell him exactly what happened :)

    • well…. that's not ideal.. I would guess psu aswell, I would't try turning it on again with the current psu, but testing with an alternative would be a good idea if you have one available.

    • +1

      Yep, getting this sorted today.

      • Thanks

  • +1

On SSD mounting, one's next to the PSU (likely where yours is right now) and a other is in the back. Open up the pannel then look to the bottom right (I believe).

*Note that the Mobo should have an m.2 slot as well.

I've PM'd luketechfast today and offered for him to send ASAP unassembled and I will assemble myself. Which will work out better for me anyway as I have an X370 board ($99@Shopping Express sale) to use in place of the A320 that is supplied as well as a 1200w Thermaltake PSU and 760p SSD.

I hope luke gets back to me soon. I should have mentioned that he could part ship without the MB+PSU+SSD if those items are waiting on back order. Luke if you read this let me know if a part ship will help.

    • Luke got back to me.

He said as soon as the parts come in off back order he'll ship them out to me the same day he gets them.

  • Are people interested in providing some performance stats of the games they place? I was just interested in comparing what I have.

    • I'm happy to run some benchmarks if you have any suggestions on how to do them and present them.

      • Haha I'm not too sure myself. I haven't been with computer ever since I got it but I did test some fortnite. I expected the 2080 to honestly dominate fortnite 1440p 144hz but I was getting average around 100 fps, sometimes dipping to 80 even. I just wasn't sure if this was normal, or perhaps I neeed to get some fast ram.

I plan on to test more games though when I get the chance (battlefield 5 comes to mind).

        • I've only got a 1080p 60hz monitor atm but my rig was locked to a fairly consistent 60fps on BFV with all ultra settings and max raytracing.

However I'd get short half second stutters every few minutes which were obviously infuriating in a multiplayer FPS. Apparently it may be due to poor DX12 optimisation because I saw an article saying DX12 performance in bfv is actually worse than dx11. Switching to dx11 with no raytracing allowed constant 60fps at 1080p ultra which is to be expected. I'll get a new 1440p monitor after Jan 15 and the freesync/gsync changes happen and update my bfv findings.

          • @Subada: Hi I had the same issues whilst running with my 1080p monitor AND my Acer x34p which is 3440x1440p on bfv and other games. However I upgraded my ram I bought 3000 MHZ teamgroup rgb Ram for 175 was a special price for it on MWave.com and now I don't expereince any stutter in ANY game. So I believe it's just 8 gb ram is not enough and I recommend upgrading to 16gb. My fps also seemed to go up after the upgrade considerably when using Ray tracing I couldn't even move without fps drops to 1 etc but now i dont get that AT ALL! This was what fixed it for me and I hope it does for u also, also I am planning on upgrading every thing this year and end up with two Pc's at the end. Cheers

            • @firsttimeuser7: Just a side note tho I got the rtx 2080 i7 8700 version which came with 750 PSU and I got crucial memory which was 2400 MHZ. My system came with Asrock b360 so my 3000 MHZ ram is running at capped 2666 MHZ which is why I will be upgrading the motherboard in the near future. If your pc's came with a320 I believe the cap for that is still 2666 but u may have to double check.

              • @firsttimeuser7: I've got 3200MHz 16gb G.Skill RAM (samsung B.die) which according to the ASUS qualified vendor list, should run at those speeds and timings on my A320 with a 2000 series ryzen processor (although I haven't actually checked if they are lol).

I don't really get stuttering in other games it's just BFV with DXR and DX12 on, so I'm leaning towards DICE's Raytracing and DX12 implementation being the culprits. There's no stutter in BFV when I turn off DXR and DX12. Not sure if it's just a bug that can be optimised or if my stock R5 2600 just can't handle the extra CPU requirements of raytracing :(

So despite my RAM running quite fast, I may also need to upgrade the mobo purely in order to OC my CPU lol

                • +1

@Subada: Oh then i believe is just the game, nothing we can do about then in that regards

                • @Subada: Oh actually, which system did you get? My 2080 system came with the ASRock a320 which the qvl doesn't have a list for pinncale ridge which is what the ryzen 2600 is right?

I will be testing out bf5 1440p without raytracing soon because I think ray tracing tanks fps way too much with out much benefit. Although probably not as much on 1080p.

                  • @HappyXD: Mine was the ASUS Prime A320M-K, there's an old QVL and a new one with pinnacle ridge CPUs.

                  • @HappyXD: LMAO apparently I didn't enable DOCP in the bios so I was running at 2400MHz this whole time. I'm up to 3200MHz CL 14 now so let's see if it makes BFV run any better

                • @Subada: I don't think XMP profile is ever enabled without user intervention. You'll need to go into the BIOS and enable it.

            • @firsttimeuser7: I was going to do exactly this and get some 3000mhz 16gb two sticks of ram. What did you get? The qvl does not have any options for a 3000mhz as far as I can tell. Instead they all suggest 3200?

  • Has anybody that ordered through these guys with the 20% off code at Christmas actually received their order? I've been told multiple dates that have been and gone and nothing, so I'm becoming a little concerned…

    • I ordered on 18th November and got it on the 12th of December, They must have lots of orders and are getting all orders delivered as fast as they can. Will just have to wait a bit more also you can message Luketechfast the rep here on ozbargain for a quick update on your own delivery. Will have to tell him your ebay username and your good. Hang tight mate :)

    • According to LTTs recent video on pre-builts, 20 days build and shipping times are fairly common. If it hasn't shown up by the 20 day mark maybe get a bit concerned.

*Also note that was at X-mas. Think they were away that week.

    • Their feedback appears to have a few complaints about missing dates and late delivery.

      https://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&…

    • Ordered mine on the 20th of December and StarTrack picked it up today, so I should receive it Monday.

      • I ordered mine on the 18th nothing on StarTrack but hopefully it’s not too far away now. Did expect it to be a bit longer then normal with Christmas/ny in between

        • In a similar position to you, having ordered on 19th December with the order still under 'Ready for Pickup' on StarTrack.

Aside from delivery times, I'm only concerned about the brand of the GPU.

          • @Cyni: The only one I would be sad about getting is colorful tbh all the others seem to be great for the money. I am sure colorful is good but I just don't see that name as often as others

            • @firsttimeuser7: Yeah, it's mainly Colorful and Biostar that I'm worried about. I've never heard of either of them.

            • @firsttimeuser7: Colourful tmk is a big brand in China. Warranty may be a pain, but should work fine.

Not familiar on Biostar stuff though.

        • I only ordered the ryzen 3/ rog strix Rx 570 build so I probably got lucky in that there would be enough stock on hand to get it out as soon as possible. I imagine they had a huge amount of the better builds ordered

        • I just noticed my tracking has been changed to ship so it should arrive sometime over the next few days.

    • Ordered on the 21st of december. Startrack says it's in Sydney and I'm in Newcastle. Startrack said there was an error and the tracking number didn't exist earlier today. It's all good now.

I'm about 3 blocks from the startrack depot so hopefully I get it first thing tomorrow.

I asked for it to be sent unassembled so it would get to me quicker.

  • @luketechfast Hey mate, just noticed that you guys are now apart of AMD's Raise Your Game program.

Was wondering if my order is considered eligible for a key, since the promotion for the RX 580's started on the 15/11/18?

My PC was purchased on eBay on 22/11/18.

    Thanks.

    • RIP to me. Got mine on the 5th.

Sorry, haven't been on this thread for a while for a number of reasons.

(Is @-ing people meant to trigger some sort of notification? I don't get it if so…)

      Please PM me on this.

  • Has anyone actually received their system yet? It's been nearly a whole month since the date I ordered it and not sure if this is the norm or I've just been written off. Not only that but it has not been shipped off from TechFast yet.

    • Mine took 24 days from order to arrival, a whole month seems on the high side. Have you tried messaging them either on ebay or ozbargain to get an update on your order?

    • Yeah, I'm still waiting on mine, having ordered on December 19th. Allegedly they'll have pre-Christmas 2080 systems shipping out this week, but seeing as it's already close to the weekend I'm not so sure that'll be the case.

    • took 25 days for mine to arrive but i only have the ryzen 3 build so probably didn't have parts on back order etc.

    • Assuming you ordered around X-mas, yeah. The company was seemingly closed the week of Christmas.

  • Ordered 19/12. They said they'd ship it early this week but that was clearly a lie.

  • My order listed a 240gb SSD but it arrived today with a 120gb, anyone else had this issue?

    • Make sure you get in contact with them via luke or ebay.

Has this been sorted? Please PM me if not.

Ordered my thread ripper pc on 27 Dec. Has anyone that ordered around this time gotten their systems?
I understand the Christmas rush has contributed to the delay but it’s now been around 34 days and there are no signs that there will be a delivery anytime soon…
Last update was on 26/01 advising with no eta given.

    • ordered a 2600, 2080 system on the 19th of December and just got it today, they were waiting on the 2080s to come in for my build.

    • Happy to give you an update if you can PM your details, cheers.

  • Ordered my 2200G build with RX 570 on the 15th. Unexpectedly arrived today (no shipment notification or tracking number). Seems they've 'upgraded' from the 550W to a 700W (Aywun brand). Also included code for the AMD promotion :) pretty happy.

The wait is a killer. To see people who ordered on the 19th Dec only just getting theirs now is disappointing.

Techfast ETA are full of crap!

  • +1

Yep mine arrived Friday. Overall happy and no issues I can see with it

    GPU Galax 2080 EX OC
Psu was 7-750w allied. Have ordered a Corsair to replace it anyway.

Front LED is a bit annoying. Might unplug it. Does anyone know if you can custom it in bios or a program?

    • If you mean the flashing ones, let me know how it goes. If you mean the RGB one, hold down the button that changes the colours for a few seconds
