      599$ to much…

  • Web says 599 instead of 499

  • $599 or $499?

  • +1

    negative if it is $599…

Apologies! Price is $599.00! $499 is way below cost! Sorry guys!

Saving of $64.80 is off our normal price!

Better double check before posting an Ad !

      • Sorry in that case no +ve.. :(

  • At $499 it's almost worth selling off my Galaxy S and "upgrading".
I can't retract my positve vote now that the price has changed…

    • I would have thought that would've been a downgrade, not an upgrade? aren't they the same phone, except the galaxy s has a better screen?

      • More of a slightly upward sideways trade (using a bit of DT lingo)
Same screen technology (with a slight face-curve or something) and basic hardware (CPU/Graphics/Radio), plus NFC chip, LED Flash and of course Stock ROM updates as soon as they're released.
I didn't know there was no SD card slot in the Nexus though.. (slight negative, although having said that I'm not even close to filling 16Gb on my Galaxy).

        • hmm, I didn't know they were the same screen?

Ok, I've just checked. You only get the SAMOLED on the nexus s, if the unit was intended for the UK or US markets…otherwise it's just a super lcd.

The NFC is a plus that I wasn't aware of either.

I guess that getting the firmware upgrades more quickly is an advantage of sorts…. Still if I had an SGS I certainly wouldn't swap it for a nexus s, unless I was sure it had the SAMOLED screen.

        • Didn't know that the Nexus S only has a SuperLCD here, but the Voda Australia site concurs with you!

SAMOLED is awesome.. I agree, wouldn't swap unless I still had SAMOLED…
(Not that I will be anyway.. price has changed from $499 to $599 now, means I'd be out of pocket most likely.)

        • i actually prefer LCDs as the amoled screens used so far have the pentile matrix subpixel arrangement which makes text jagged. They do have much blacker blacks and amazing colors, but I read text a lot more than i watch videos or look at photos, so LCDs win it for me.

lol i can see how ppl always get owned by marketing, where apple shines…

        • Huh?

    • yes you can

  • Crazy Johns have it for $0 on the $49 cap/24 mths + 2.5GB data every month:

  • Shame that…got really excited but alas it was a misprint!!!

  • Pre-ordered the New S2 for $700 !!

I though this should be cheaper

  • A shame, if only it was $499. Oh well, I'm not going to neg this, as its still cheaper than any where else in AUS.

Keep in mind prices will fall because Galaxy S2 is coming out soon.

  • +1

$599 is competitive price but not when you have seen $499 lolz

  • Although their phones have been unlocked, the phone I bought (samsung 5) had all the Telstra stuff on it.

  • $575 with Local Warranty : http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Samsung-Google-Nexus-S-3G-Android-Pho…

$604 with Australian Warranty and Australian Stock: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-Samsung-Google-Nexus-S-Wifi-GPS-A…

Not really a bargain… just sayin.

    • Do note both these listings are not offering Official Australian Stock

      • Second link: "Item comes with a 12 month Local Australian warranty and is covered against any manufacturer defects. "

        • +1

Quoting under there terms "Unless otherwise stated, Item comes with a 12 month Local Australian warranty and is covered against any manufacturer defects. In the event of a breakdown, the item will need to be returned to our office in Melbourne. "

Usually means Grey Import when stock needs to returned to sellers office
