Not a bad price for this device, although still overpriced in my opinion. Got one for my parents who absolutely love it, using it to cook chicken wings and frozen chips with little to no added oil.

    Are airfryers really much different from a convection oven?

      I have a smaller model Phillips Airfryer. They are very much like a mini fan oven. The advantage to them is that the air fryers don't need to be preheated as they heat up so fast the food can go in straight away, saving a lot of time. For example, mine cooks frozen chips in about 15 minutes.

      Yeah, I paid $420 at JB some months ago (did not plan the gift beforehand, could’ve got it online for about $390, *hands in Ozbargain membership) but it’s been used plenty since then

    Awesome bit of gear, and credit to Philips after-sales support. Ours - like many others - blew up just out of warranty and Philips have agreed to repair it no charge so thumbs up to them.

    We miss ours a lot, haha. So good for whipping up anything frozen in no time, and best cold pizza reheater ever.

    I bought an 7L Airfryer in a different deal here on OzB a while back and it was only about $80. It is very good, so good in fact that I can't understand what this Philips AIrFryer does that warrants 4x the price??

      Unfortunately it only applies to purchases from participating Australian retail stores, between Oct 22-Dec 24, which Amazon is likely not a part of (but I’m struggling to find a comprehensive list). Costco and JB Hi-Fi Airport are not included as well as per the site linked
