Best cheapish wireless vacuum

Our vacuum sucks for what we need it for its a hoover pet edition. The hair just gets stuck each time and stops the head from spinning. I'm looking at buying a new one for our apartment it is only 2 beds mostly carpet but tiled in bathroom and kitchen

I want to spend max $150 unless it's insane

I've been looking at second hand dyson for around that price

Or the kogan t7

Or the vax slim vac

Finally the hoover quick stick

These all seem to be within my budget.

I'm leaning towards the kogan..

Any one have any advice?

Thanks

  • I had a $150 stick vacuum from Harris Scarfe and it didn't last very long. Recently I bought a Dyson V8 on a Black Friday deal. It's amazingly good, and the lesson for me is that it can be worth spending the extra money.

If you can stretch your budget a little more, look at the deals here on Dyson vacuum cleaners at Amazon US. It's a lot cheaper than buying locally, but you may not get the same warranty support.

  • I've got a bissell air ram that was "carton damaged" and I'm happy with it. I haven't had anything other than a cheapo corded vac to compare it to but it suits my needs well. They're on sale now for $149 + delivery, from memory they give you 10% off if you sign up to there newsletter before you you make your first purchase.

    • Can you take the head off to do the edges of rooms? It looks like you can't

      Thanks

    • Damn the reviews for this are super good. Guess I would just have to use my existing vacuum for getting round the edges. How long does the charge usually last you?
How often do you have to refill?
How does the suction power compare?

      • I've only got a small three bedroom unit and it does that easy on one charge. Sometimes it will flick something out the back but it's easy enough to go over it again. Emptying the dust can be a bit messy but it's easy enough to go over any spills.
And yeah I've kept my old one to do the edges on occasions as it doesn't get close enough to the walls. Gets under our beds pretty easy which is a bonus. As I said I haven't ever owned an expensive vac so my expectations of it might be different to yours.
