Remote Keyboard Android App

Hi all, I have been using Android Remote Keyboard app for a while and it is great. It suits my needs very well.

Recently I (factory) reset one of my devices and it seems that the app has been removed from Google Play Store. While I can sideload the app it makes me wondering why the app has been removed. Was it in violation any of Google's rules or worse is there any security issues with the app.

I have googled around and doesn't seem to be able to find any news about it being removed. Contacted the developer and have not got any response.

Anyone has experience with the app or read any news about it being removed from the play store?

And anyone can recommend a good alternative. With this app I can just telnet and start typing from my desktop's keyboard.

    if you've installed it before, it should still be available in your app history to install again even if the app no longer shows in the app store. can't really help on the "why its no longer there" part

      Do you mean the Library tab in "My apps & games". It has gone … not there anymore.

        mine has probably 30-50 apps which no longer exist if you search for them in the app store. some are old versions of an app that a dev has re-released, others I have no idea what happened to. but it was quite happy to let me re-download those old apps to my new phone

          I have just checked, it is not there.
