  • mind you the brush heads are expensive on sonicare than on oral-bs and colgates.

$600 for toothbrushes? Lol, even the discount price is too high.

    • They'd better offer years of free heads for that price.

  • These are for the old brush model though. And are you sure you can get $100 cash off.

  • I bought a lesser version of the Sonicare on the mindset that "eh… it's just an electric toothbrush. they're all the same" but no - I don't really like it at all. Only for two small reasons:

    • The head is oval shape instead of round making some parts of the mouth really hard to get to

    • There is no way to simply turn it on and off - it gives you 3 different modes that pulse at certain times to tell you to move to a different part of the mouth and then will auto turn off at 2 mins. Sounds minor right? I tend to go for longer than the programmed mode allows for, so have to start it again, which means when I want to end that next cycle I have to hit the button three more times to cycle through modes to turn off. I just want an on/off button!!!

These complaints are probably only something that irk me but have 100% put me off the Philips range and sort of make me miss the old Woolies Oral B.

the oral-b ones turn off if you long press it. possibly it the philips one is similar

Sonicare after sale service is good. Bought two at states in 2011. One broken twice in 6 yrs. the other down once. Was given new one each time after contacting them, even it’s out of warranty and even not bought from Australia. Got broken ones fixed at local shop for about 20 bucks each. So end up with 5 fully functioning brushes in hand after purchase 7 yrs ago.

    • which shop did you get fixed at? Mine is broken

i'm at Brisbane. just check those small shops who fixes small appliance or electronics around ur neighborhood.

  • Got the "smart" version of this for $180ish earlier in the year and really like it coming from an Oral-B. Had no issues with the Oral-B and would recommend it also, but the Philips in my mind does a slightly better job. Mush less noisy and nicer build quality too with the main issue being cost both to buy initially and replacement heads costing more and not being as readily available as the Oral B's.

  • Great brush and would have pounced if not for xiaomi
