What happens with reported comments? When a member makes a personal attack in a comment, their post gets reported, then the member edits the original post…is this acceptable use of the Ozbargain platform? Have posted in the talk with a moderator forum, unfortunately no replies yet.

I thought the comment was just deleted? Didn't realise you got a chance to edit.
If the comment gets deleted or modified by a Mod or modified by the poster, it's the same result - it's gone!
Umm no, your comment was pointless and a stupid pointless attack on the deal poster.

Seems like it's not the first time OP's had a dig at a deal poster

I love cat videos.
That is a reply but not a personal attack.
Then complains that the mods haven't responded to his TWAM within 1 hour… At 11PM at night.
I've reported your comment as a personal attack. Mods haven't done anything. What kind of wide west website is this?
@John Kimble: I'll see you for downvotes at dawn.
@tomsco: I meant wild not wide :(
Next time just reply to the comment so it cannot be edited. I wouldn't call the screenshotted comment a personal attack though…
Commenting Guidelines
Personal Attacks, Foul Language, Inappropriate comments etc. are generally always removed unless there is some value in the comment, then it is edited to remove the part of the text in issue. So for example, our foul language filter will auto-change the profanity to (profanity). If we/the system edits the comment to remove text, then we will put a moderators note in the comment.
Comments can only be edited by the original commenter for a few minutes after they are made. If someone replies to a comment, then the comment lose the ability to be changed.
You've given us less than an hour to respond. Best we resolve your issues with the individual(s) in Talk with a Moderator. Thanks.
